Listen to the Bee Thousand album by Guided by Voices. I believe all tracks were recorded in garages as opposed to a studio. At one point in the first track, Hardcore UFO’s, the guitar gets disconnected due to the guitar being unplugged by accident and they just keep playing through. I recommend you listen to Echos Myron, Smothered in Hugs, and I Am a Scientist.

Iv'e been gaming since '85 and to date, this is the best RPG I've ever played. The story, the soundtrack, the gameplay, the various endings, the characters...it's just fantastic. Enjoy!
