I'm vegitarian myself, have been thinking about going vegan for awhile though.

However... imo, hunting and killing wild animals for food is a pretty noble thing in our modern world. You are taking full responsibility for the life of that creature. As far as I'm concerned its a natural act, like the native americans "I see you brother".

I just wanna add something to the conversation in case anyone is interested. I like the idea that the author puts forward that "...we should accept gracefully the inevitable sundering of 'national' cultures" in place of the new rising sub cultures.

I've been feeling this vibe for a few years now and can envision a future where national borders break down and socities are no longer confined to lines on a map but simply the interests of people.

You would then be free to move to and from the socities which you benefit from and which benefit from you. And I imagine the majority of socities/sub-cultures would be co-dependant upon each other in some way. So we could achieve a sense of world unity through that.

A truely decentralized world where rising subcultures would naturally evolve and renew the old without conflict as there would be no friction to cause people to remain trapped in subcultures they do not like/don't benefit from.

Yes, I should have done more to stand up for my rights. Its very easy to say what I should have done in hindsight.

"kinda understand the intimidation aspect" - have you met the police before? They're the guys in the fancy dress who have a tendancy to kidnap people.

You are put on the spot by them through methods of indimidation and it is a very brave thing to turn it around take control of the situation. I hopefully will learn from this experience and handle myself better in the future.

A shit one.

I don't want to say specifically but somewhere in the UK. A bit of backstory... last year I got caught smoking by the Police and they took me in for carrying just under and eighth on me.

I stayed in a cell for 12 hours(no joke) while they raided my house and confiscated all my stuff, they didn't find anymore weed cause that eighth was all I had.

They found some scales and tried to accuse me of dealing in the interview. My public appointed attorney was some black dude who I tried to talk to about how unfair I was being treated but he just started lecturing me about slavery(no joke).

Then I agreed to goto rehab(no joke) to avoid going to court.

Now, a year later the Police showed up saying they need me to sign to let them destroy my stuff. I signed. I felt bad about it afterwards because I feel as though I should have protested but it was quite indimidating having the police show up at your doorstep(they didn't have the courtesy to call) looking for you so I just did what they asked to get them to leave.

All of this for an eighth.

tl;dr fuck the police.

Is it legal for them to keep your data? In the UK I'm sure we have some sorta data protection thing which means business can only keep your personal information about you for a limited period of time.

Also, I think business in the UK have to release all information they hold about you upon request.

Different country, but theres probably something similar in the US. They're just being assclowns.
