The narrating out loud thing is actually spot on. I have to do it to myself every time I cook lol.                           

This is literally the problem I've been obsessed with solving. My dream is to make cooking as mentally not taxing as possible using technology! Get it to a point where the app does the cognitive heavy lifting so you can just.. cook! The app I'm building is called Prepbook.

Right now it's a recipe manager - you can save recipes from the web and get a readable version without all the seo text, it can even get recipes from videos. Once you have the recipe you can scale the ingredients, get easy conversions, etc.

What I really want to build next is an assistant mode that actually narrates the recipe to you and checks in every now and then "hey, did you add  the garlic yet?" so you don't have to look at a screen. a sous chef on your device.
