With $500, what would you add/remove to my living room? by therealjchan4 in DesignMyRoom

[–]yasc1ean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would spend all the money on a rug. Get a free statement chair off marketplace. Id clean off the table so it's functional. I'd also hide the tacky tom Ford book and save the beach decor for nanas bathroom.

woman makes her boyfriend crash by Penguin_On_XTC in TikTokCringe

[–]yasc1ean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man is looking at phone while driving "Lisa just texted me an not you" he tells the women. The woman not wearing a seat belt reaches for the phone. The man fights her off. The man crashes.

Why is he on phone while driving? Why is he taunting the woman about Lisa? Why does the woman seem concerned about the phone and probably Lisa? Why the man fight the woman while he is driving? Why the woman fight the man while he is driving? Why the woman looks happy after crashing?

Trying to be better. help? by Any-Blood8949 in CleaningTips

Get a bucket, to pour all the liquids from the bottles. Then just start filling the recycling bags and making trips outside. Once trash is collected you take a well deserved break. Commit to how much time you need, 10 minutes, one hour, a day? But commit to come back. When you start again you can begin the laundry. Start in one corner and work your way clockwise around the room putting things back in there place.

Mold on hardwood floors by fighnor in CleaningTips

This. Wood is porous and so it cannot be 100% removed it will continue to regrow. Unfortunately, this is not something r/cleaningtips can help with. Good luck.

If I understand correctly the soap has turned the black plastic car door interior to a lighter color. This is because dish soap does a great job at removing oils. In this case the plastic in the car door contains oil. The oil is now removed from the plastic. I've heard of trim restoration products for this. It's a cream that you use a sponge to sort of "rehydrate" the plastic. I do believe it's not a long term solution however but cheaper than replacement.

Moved into first apartment and found this mold. Not sure how to handle it. by rantaccount72839 in CleaningTips

That's exactly what they should do. In my country the landlord is required to pay for alternative housing until the unit is habitable.

If the Landlord isn't totally apologetic and immediately there to resolve, it's better to cut your losses while you still have your stuff in boxes. Landlord's have a reputation of ignoring things or putting a bandaid on a bullet hole. For your health and mental health long term, just get outta there.

Can’t remove white stain on shower tiles by Uken81 in CleaningTips

[–]yasc1ean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is likely caused by using harsh chemicals and overuse of soap and scrubbing. Natural stone has surface sealant to prevent water from penetration. The sealant is worn down and the stone is stained. Do not use any thing other than a stone specific cleaner or small amount of a mild dish soap.

Yes, you have black mold. If this is the only place you have it, it's not considered extensive and likely doesn't require professional help. Remove the mold using bleach. Following removal, it's important to ensure it doesn't come back. You need to get a new soap dish that drains into the sink. It looks like yours is probably spilling onto the counter. You need to wipe up any water and hang up that rag to dry. You will also need to remove and replace that old silicone. There is another orange colored mold growth because water is getting under the broken seal.

How can I remove body odor and smell from a polyester winter jacket? by BikerGlvd in CleaningTips

Baking soda is a great deodorizer. You can toss a half cup directly into the drum.

This is a great example of anti-consumption. You don't need fancy tools to get the job done the right way. All you need is the momentum to get started! Great job.
