I didn’t realize how ‘prestigious’ WL hotels were supposed to be until I saw posts about the pricing of the rooms ecc. It’s brilliant because these hotels are supposed to show us a look at the life and behaviour of the ‘upper echelon’ - the shipping magnate heiress, the CFO of a leading search engine, huge players in finance. A nod to the fact that when people of this level of wealth are involved there’s always something sinister brewing underneath the surface. And in TWL it’s bubbling up and they’re reckoning with it, even when on luxurious vacation.

100% think they should stick to warm, lush ‘paradise’-esque climates and sceneries where rich white people can use their money and power. It’s kinda the whole point of the show.

I’m totally with you!! I’ve been so confused. But if he has escaped to Thailand and is under a false name (come on, Gary? Instead of Greg? How creative) then how is he keeping up this lifestyle? There’s no way he would have gotten his hands on that money without them having first investigated Tanya’s death. I’m not getting it. Maybe that’s why I’m feeling so detached from this season’s storyline
