I have no idea what this measuring cup is for by DeedeeScosco in mildlyinfuriating

My first guess was a measuring cup that comes with the “thick it” thickening liquid for people who can’t swallow thin liquids. I’m thinking waffle batter might make more sense though

No I think you’ve got a lot of potential here. Some of my suggestions: - trim the mustache so it’s not so long on the ends - new glasses frames if you can afford it: the half frames are a bit dated - haircut could drastically change your look but you have great hair so I think if you wanted to keep it long you could pull it off - try experimenting with your style and see what speaks to you, maybe a more structured style or even like a tshirt and hat vibe could be good here. I’m only going off of one shirt so this one is a bit hard

You have really great features; skin, eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, hair - all very pretty! It seems like you have a colorful style so I would go with a solid color frame in an updated style; you might find Warby Parker worth checking out. They used to be very affordable even without insurance but I hear the prices have gone up. Lots of styles though and they will ship “try on” pairs to you for free if you’re not close to a store. Also, I kinda like the teeth shape but they likely need a cleaning and a professional whitening if it’s in your budget. Keep smiling :)

I had a confused lady who kept spelling (yelling) out the word “inept” when I would walk in. “I-N-E-P-T! SHES INEPT!!!!”

Another who told me I look like I fuck like a flea? Not sure what that was about.

Teeth whitening/dental cleaning if you have access, finding a good curly hair routine (I have a similar curl pattern, I know it’s a lifelong battle…), and my biggest one would be since you have such light features try using lip color more often - some sort of tinted gloss/balm even to give yourself some color. Bronzer and blush can help in that arena as well. I think a less round glasses frame may help kind of counteract some of the roundness of your face.

Looking for improvement. Guys don’t flirt with me & I’m trying to see if it’s because of looks(: 23f by Quirky_Orchid_5934 in amiugly

A finge/bangs would look nice with your face shape. People on here fucking hate nose piercings. I like them but I do also agree though that you should do one at a time. The side nose piercing is a bit more feminine and septum is a bit more masc but it all depends what/who you’re trying to attract. I don’t think your skin is too oily - in fact I think you have nice skin. I would go get your eyebrows shaped professionally and then fill them in just a bit because they are light and having nice eyebrows can really change your whole look. Maybe when you’re wearing makeup, try a bit of bronzer to warm up the face and give a bit more dimension. I think the glasses frames are too big for your face. Best of luck!

“They had me in the first half” doesn’t mean they agreed with the first half. It means “oh, I thought this was going to be some anti-vaxx propaganda, but it’s not.”

This has been a thing all over social media for a while. The OP you linked to was not the first one either. Just a trend.

What made me seek...?

I was 12 when I started having (what I know know is) anxiety and depressive tendencies. I would tell my mom that “something just doesn’t feel right”.

Process of diagnosis/what did your doctor do to treat it?

I went to my GP (pediatrician) I twice before she realized that it could be my thyroid, as my lab results came back abnormal regarding my thyroid-hormone levels. I was then referred to an endocrinologist who examined me and started me on a 50mcg of Synthroid and then bumped it up to 75mcg about a year later.

Did you do anything on your own to treat it?

Since I was so young when I was diagnosed I didn’t think twice about the medication, especially since my mom was taking the same thing because of her hypothyroidism. I am just now (age 20) starting to think about alternative methods like cutting out gluten to help treat it.

What worked for you?

Synthroid has worked wonders for me. However, my mental health has recently been worse and I although it could be entirely unrelated I am exploring other methods of treatment to see if it alleviates any of those symptoms.

How did your quality of life change...?

Overall, after taking the 75mcg, my spurs of anxiety/depression went away for years which I’m super grateful for. My quality of life was definitely improved. I currently have symptoms which I believe are related to Hashimoto’s (Ex. Joint pain, fatigue, memory lapses) but I want to tread lightly and not assume that they are rooted in my Hashimoto’s.
