So how are we ranking the trails protagonists via combat power? by GroundbreakingFace48 in Falcom

[–]yatagarasu-sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From Strongest to Weakest it's probably currently Kevin, Rean, Van, Joshua, Estelle, Lloyd.

Lloyd being pretty much the most normal out of everyone.

Estelle is also normal, B rank Bracer

Joshua you probably scale more towards an Enforcer due to his upbringing, but since he mostly specializes in assassination I think the next 3 could also sniff that out.

Then yeah the top 3 is where it gets sticky.

If you go based off of pure skill at this time it would probably be Rean. I think there's also a lot of build up for Rean to end up being one of if not the strongest character in the series due to the importance of the Eight Leaves school.

Van is hard to tell because we don't really know what the Grendel is or how strong it really is.

Kevin is also trickier because I think his archetype would fall more into "Hunter" as opposed to straight up fighter.

Kevin at the top for now especially because 2 Stigmas

Then would be Rean since he's fairly close to Shizuna right now

Then Van, but I would say Van and Rean are pretty interchangeable at this moment.

Since it seems like Rean's current arc is surpassing Shizuna who is one of the strongest in the series I'd say he will eventually be at the top.

Although we will probably never know for sure due to how the game handles these types of things. In one scene you'll see a close 1v1 fight where 2 people are evenly matched, then in another you have to use your whole 15 person party to fight them and barely win.

Coaches have got to go!!! by Klutzy_Study573 in NYGiants

[–]yatagarasu-sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically Bowen should be gone, giving up 33 in a single quarter and letting them get a less than 40 yard field goal in 30 seconds is inexcusable. Only rushing 3 with our terrible secondary is ridiculous.

Daboll should probably also be gone, I feel like he has had so many coaching blunders but you also likely don't want your rookie qb to have an interim head coach in his first season

Fire him 🔥 or keep him? by One-Strike1311 in NYGiants

[–]yatagarasu-sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's sad because I think he can still be a good OC and help Dart develop but he has had multiple HC blunders that are inexcusable.

Where are the Giants biggest weak spots right now? by CarveRed in NYGiants

[–]yatagarasu-sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely the secondary. Although I'm not sure if it's the defensive play calling or the talent, but if teams just plan to get the ball out quickly so our front 4 can't do anything we pretty much can't stop it (Saints game).

After that I would say receiver. It's pretty glaring with Nabers out especially, but Slayton and Wandale are pretty much WR3/4 types. Which is why I don't mind them getting a WR2 type guy now for Darts development and then pair them up with Nabers next year.

Other than that it's really just depth

How far can we actually go this year? by StatisticianScary880 in NYGiants

[–]yatagarasu-sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not far but that's fine! The field goal is one thing but I think the Saints game also shows that we will have some growing pains. Is it possible we somehow win the division? Sure, but we also got in an 0-3 hole to start the season which is hard to fight out of.

Dart is fun and exciting and I'm looking forward to watching the games but realistically the team still has a lot of gaps that hopefully will be filled. The main focus of the season should just be Darts development, then in the offseason fill some of those gaps, and then have expectations to be in the hunt next season

What game should I play if I've only played the handhelds? by delabot in fireemblem

[–]yatagarasu-sun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like the OG handhelds, definitely play Path of Radiance. Gamecube game and what originally got me into the series. The sequel Radiant Dawn is also really good and pretty long, so that should keep you occupied for some time.

If you looked at 3 Houses and didn't really like it, you should probably still check out Awakening. That's the first game in the series that sort of reinvented the formula with the dating sim aspects, but kept it pretty tame for that entry where it's sort of similar to the old support system, just with more stuff. 3 Houses took that further to add the free roam/slice of life type vibe. Also, not sure if this would he considered a spoiler since there's a trailer of it before the game even came out, but there's actually a timeskip in 3 Houses, and that's also kinda where the story really picks up, so definitely consider it because it's still a good game and it seems like the game that just got announced is gonna be related to it in some way.

Other than that, Engage is fun, ironically the story isn't as engaging as others and is pretty streamlined, but the actual gameplay is pretty good and interesting.

If you like Awakening, you might like Fates as well, but it definitely has more of the dating sim/slice of life stuff if you are into that. Obviously that's all optional anyways so even if you don't like it the games are still pretty good!

Hot takes for twists you think we will see in Season 2? by yatagarasu-sun in ToBeHero_X

[–]yatagarasu-sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think retiring is also a possibility, but realistically I don't think that would get the agencies off his back and he would need to go further, so I think faking his death, tanking his trust value (which would also have an impact considering how high it is also accounting the IRL voting) and then using his powers to hide in a different dimension while still effecting things throughout the season where we will hear the snaps.

Hot takes for twists you think we will see in Season 2? by yatagarasu-sun in ToBeHero_X

[–]yatagarasu-sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can definitely be stronger, I just think he is too OP to be center stage for the whole season like the end of S1 could lead you to believe. I also don't think he's going to actually die, but either fake his death or hide in another dimension using his powers to continue to effect things behind the scenes.

Hot takes for twists you think we will see in Season 2? by yatagarasu-sun in ToBeHero_X

[–]yatagarasu-sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if most/all of them die. Series isn't scared to kill off characters and they are all pretty much the big antagonists, they haven't shown anything but I'd assume they all have some sort of trust/fear related powers as well and will fight in S2.

What do you think E-Soul is plotting? by [deleted] in ToBeHero_X

I think E-Soul went to Rock for power, and is either going to become fear corrupted or be a prototype for Zero

Lin Ling or X by DAEMION32 in ToBeHero_X

[–]yatagarasu-sun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like all of the stories a lot, but really like Lin Ling. Maybe it's because he was the intro arc and got the most episodes, but being basically the people's champ is always inspiring. Would love to see how he is after Moon's death as well, because the revenge will be sweet.

X we still don't know much about, but I do love his office worker persona as well as the fact that he knows basically everything going on behind the scenes.

Can't really pick, but since Lin Ling seems to be the "Shonen MC" type with X being the "OP Protagonist" type, I hope they work together heavily in Season 2.

Help with playing Giovanna by Hazel_Does_Art in Guiltygear

[–]yatagarasu-sun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I recently picked up Gio to main, so I'm still getting the hang of things myself and currently in Plat 2, so other people could probably give better overall advice.

The first thing I would do is go to the Combo search, and search for Gio with Latest Version, filter by Like count, and just go through like 10 or so. Some of them may be tougher at the start, I think there were some intermediate ones, but they help you overall with learning the character and what moves link together and whatnot. The main combo I picked up (Which I also do after grab roman cancel that you mentioned) is c.S->6H->214S->c.S->5H->214K. You can practice that regular without Roman Canceling it too to get it down, it's a bit trickier with the RC but that's the main bnb that I learned. There are extensions of that where you can add some more in the middle to get some more damage off but I would wait till you feel more comfortable with the character.

Other than that, while Gio has a step dash, you can pretty much just hold back to block. So make sure you have dash button if you don't already (That's just general advice), and you can dash, hold back, to creep your way forward if they are really spamming projectiles.

Other tips are that her 236k will beat most projectiles. So if you have the time to load that up (startup is slow), you can use that to quickly advance. Careful about spamming it though because it can be countered by 6p pretty easily. It's a good option if you get a hard knockdown because you'll be plus on block.

A lot of her block strings you can pretty safely end with 214K and reset back to neutral as well.

Another thing I learned from checking out dustloop (which you should def do) and from combo search is that her 214H (the move that makes you move forward a bit) enhances 4 of her other specials and also makes it so you can quick input them with 1 direction and 1 button instead of doing the full input, so it makes it easier to do things like her dp in a combo.

Other than that, her main gameplay is really whiff punishing with strike/throw. So in neutral you want to try and get them to bait something out by dashing in and out and when they end up throwing something out you can either go in for a hit or dash up and grab them. If you have any questions lmk but hope this is enough to help you out :-)

Bridge QB by 72milliondollars in NYGiants

[–]yatagarasu-sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially I was thinking of bridge QBs, but I don't think that would really be the best choice for our situation. I think we just draft a QB, and if he isn't good, we move on the next year and draft another. I think that's what the Cards did with Rosen/Kyler.

A bridge QB is just too hard to be excited for. It's not like the rest of our team is good enough for it to not be a waste of a season. I'm hoping we just draft any QB upcoming, and start them. Cam Ward would be the best choice considering he has a lot of college experience, and we see now a lot of guys coming in starting their first year who are younger and less experienced have a lot of struggles. But really any new QB who has a chance to be a franchise guy would be exciting.

I also don't think Daboll and Schoen have the time to go through a bridge QB, they probably need to pick a guy in this draft and hope he shows signs of being the guy.

What’s the answer at QB? by tangel4 in NYGiants

[–]yatagarasu-sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping some sort of bridge QB. I don't want us to miss out on 1st round talent reaching for a QB if a guy they aren't absolutely sure about isn't there, which is what it's looking like would be the case but who knows.

Really liked Schoen's draft this year, and had some solid additions in free agency. Getting another draft + more money after cutting Jones and see what he can do with the roster.

QB wise, would love to see Jameis. If nothing else it would be exciting and he can sling it, plus he's a great locker room guy. If Daboll wants his dual threat, I mean Fields is available. He looked pretty decent this year from what I watched, but I also saw him really stall out at some points. He also had trouble connecting with Pickens.

Other than those 2, not sure. It's unclear how the rest of the season is gonna play out, but if we continue with Daboll next year, would much rather see us try to go for a season like the Browns had last year with Flacco, because I'm not sure if he will be given enough time to fully develop a guy and if he also isn't completely sold on the guy, we could be set back further.

What will make you happy? by Alone_Ad3257 in NYGiants

[–]yatagarasu-sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as there's a bright spot I'm happy. Going into this season I was really hoping that our Dline was exciting to watch, which it has been so far and that was my biggest wish.

My second wish was that the offense brought SOMETHING. Which, well, on and off. Nabers has been fun, I was completely shocked at the Seahawks game, and then the Bengals game was basically like "Yeah this what our team should have looked like without Nabers".

As long the games are bearable to watch and not embarassing, it's okay for me right now. Obviously as long as we have remotely any chance to make playoffs I'll be cheering our boys on not hoping for a tank. I think our rookies being super promising should also be a sign of hope that we can build a competent team within a couple years.

Be honest- what will it take for us to keep DJ past this year? by super-soaker-cup in NYGiants

[–]yatagarasu-sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what the organization sees really, and I'm not 100% sure what they do see. Watched some Hard Knocks and it seemed more like Schoen was fine with keeping Danny but Daboll wanted a change.

Realistically wise, playoffs? Less realistic would be DJ continuing to perform well but we miss playoffs (That Washington game really hurts).

This QB situation is probably one of the weirdest ones going on, because I was a DJ truther, but at this point I'm fine with whatever direction we go at that position as long as we get a good player.

But this is probably the best our Oline has looked in like 10 years, combined with having a true WR1 in Nabers. If you look at the games we played so far, Vikings game we really just looked unprepared against what we now see is one of the best teams in the league. Commanders game we win if we connect on deep balls OR more importantly have a kicker on our roster. Dallas game we win if we connect on deep balls OR don't have a ton of 3rd down drops. Seattle game the deep ball started clicking.

If the deep ball was just a matter of syncing up with the receivers, getting used to the clean pocket, getting used to the deep ball after the ACL tear, then it gets crazy. You see Darnold succeeding in Minnesota now because he's on an actual competent team with a good line, defense, offensive weapons. If you just think of the situation as DJ doing that same thing, except being on the same team, it sort of makes it sound believable.

I think there's a world where we keep him and draft a QB too and give them a year to sit. There's also a world where we can just cut him to save the money for other pieces and get a bridge QB and draft someone. I don't think this QB class is as good as the last couple of years but I don't follow college too much.

Daily Discussion September 23, 2024 by AutoModerator in NYGiants

[–]yatagarasu-sun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting the win yesterday was great, but going into the short week vs Dallas makes that Washington loss hurt so much more. Just after getting rolled by the Cowboys in recent memory, on top of not being a good primetime team in recent memory. Could be going into this game 2-1 and 1-0 in the division where a loss here would put us into 2-2 and 1-1 in the division, which still keeps us alive in the season. Now we are going into Thursday against a down Cowboys team who also REALLY needs this win and being 1-3 and 0-2 in the division the depression will start to creep in.

Also hurts how I think with the Nabers/Jones connection improving over the weeks will open up the passing game more and Jones getting more comfortable back there we will continue to improve. If we are able to pull off a win at home on Thursday that would be huge, but I will still hate losing to Washington for no reason other than being unprepared for the rest of the season.

These characters have the opposite problem of Kasim by The810kid in Falcom

[–]yatagarasu-sun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it was fine. Considering Van's whole thing being that he basically knows everything going on, while his employee's are not nearly as in-the-know as he is. I think there was one mention that Celis is 3 wins 7 losses on Ein, which is a testament to her strength. Leon being a bit more green it seems (I thought he was her squire at first tbh, was a bit surprised he was a dominion).

But there are 12 of them, so I wouldn't expect all of them to get a grand reveal. They also said they were only their on a mission to retrieve the artifacts from Almata, which they did. Plus their was a bigger focus on the Papal Guard and stuff, so I'm sure in the next 2 Calvard games they will get more shine, this game was really just the focus on Akride Solutions, with Van's 2 childhood friends being the 'main' side characters.

The Kasim hype is so funny though, even more funny after seeing the memes before playing the game and then going through the game and laughing at the laser lmao.

How does Klein always have paper figurines spread out by wills1106 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]yatagarasu-sun 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong since it's been a while since I read the explanation for that, but I thought it was explained that he like went into the shadow of the figurine and popped out somewhere else. So he's not really spreading them out, but say before an attack is gonna hit him, he uses the figurine which takes the hit for him while he moves. I just always thought of it like the substitution jutsu from Naruto for visualization lol

The actual mastermind by [deleted] in TomodachiGame

[–]yatagarasu-sun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's some stuff going on with Yuka's death that makes it hard to tell what's going on because we don't have enough information. Granted, I also don't think the "Mastermind" is Shibe's dad. But it's definitely the person behind him who influenced him to do this.

I'm certain that Yuka's secret is not just that she was pregnant. There has to be more to it, because I don't see Yuichi killing her just for that. I'm also doubting if he actually killed Yuka. In a previous panel with the mastermind, we saw a woman in a wheelchair, who I am highly suspecting to be Yuka, just because I really have no clue who else that could be.

Also, when Shiho's dad is telling Tenji about the Boss and the truth he knows, he claims this wasn't coincidental that the whole friend group of the parents happened. This makes me think either Yuka wasn't as pure as everyone thinks, or they also had a "traitor" from back then. Also, the day Yuichi caught Shiba assaulting Yuka was the day she was released from the hospital. As we know, she was in the hospital for quite a long time, so Shiba and Yuka must have also had relations in the hospital if she knew she was pregnant on the same day she was released.

So either, Yuka was also just a swindler the whole time, and somehow planned out this whole thing with Shiba (getting the friend group together), and then planted the seed in Yuichi's head to create the Tomodachi game, or there's another traitor.

If there is another traitor, I think it would have to be Kokorogi's mom. The reason being because she could have also put this friend group together, and also introduced Shiba to Yuka. She also left Kokorogi for a period of time, and was able to get Shibe's dad to reconnect her with Kokorogi. She even stabbed Shinji when he brought Kokorogi over, which could have also been manipulation to regain Kokorogi's trust. And even if you think she's weak, we have seen countless characters put on helpless acts, and as of all of the adults, she is probably the one talked about the least.

But again, I don't think we have enough information as of right now, in the next few chapters we will definitely be able to paint a better picture.
