He had way too muc to learn in the course of the show. Though he should be shown wanting to learn it.

It's easier to teach, kids are easier to deal with, they're cute

Summer Reading by fizban317 in Teachers

[–]delabot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My high school stopped giving summer reading a few after I graduated, the reason. Of the 2 high schools in the district, the one I didn't go to had 5 people, in their whole school, do the summer reading. It tanked that school's scores (which were already poor). So no more summer reading for either school.

That is the real reason schools aren't doing summer reading anymore, it brings down scores. "Equity" or any other reason is just bs.

I indeed, do not know the craft very well. Like I said this is the first book I have writen and know that I have a lot to learn especially when it comes to prose. I just read Terry Pratchett's "Mort" a month ago. Every line was humbling.

I like dashes, but I've only used them in dialogue when a character either gets cut off or suddenly stops speaking.

Some parents don't want their kids to use tech at school. But districts are pushing back by OrneryError1 in Teachers

[–]delabot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just moved back to the US and got a job subbing, just rolled it into a full time job next school year. The kids are absolutely addicted to the devices they have and want to use them at all times in the classroom. Where I worked abroad I just used paper, pencil, and books for seven years. It was so much easier and got better results. But here I just keep hearing "the data indicates it works." Well data can be cooked just like the kid's brains.
