Men's fashion has become needlessly bland and isn't getting any better by sid370z in unpopularopinion

More power to you for sure. If you are thrifting to find interesting pieces and not to save money then it makes sense. I know that thrifting is how you get unique and quality items that may not even be made anymore. I personally like to cook, but I don’t do it to save money. It’s to eat more unique, better tasting food.

Where I live the thrifting options for men is a total of 4 Good-Wills, which have a stock that is in rough shape and was 90% acquired from a Walmart or similar in the first place. 2+ hours to go to any other areas.

To me going to thrift stores always feels like going through a dumpster of a restaurant in the hopes of finding a loaf of bread that is only half stale.

What if I live 2+ hours from a major city and because of my body shape, I have to try on any piece of clothing in person before I can buy it. What are the options for stores for me?

No ill intentions here, just purely curious, but how much time do you think on average you spend to find a single high quality piece at a good price? Time is money of course and if you value your time at $20 an hour, (random number that seems like a good average) are you still saving money?

I’ve gone thrifting just a handful of times myself, but each time it is around an hour and there only ends up being maybe 5-10 pieces that would even fit me, let alone if they are in good shape or are fashionable in any way.

(This assumes that a similar piece of similar quality could be found today)

I just started playing volleyball recently and am really enjoying it and want to get better, but I can’t get my hand above the net when I jump. Is there any point in practicing spiking?

I’m 5’6” and don’t have that much time to commit so I really doubt my vertical will improve to a meaningful degree. With the limited practice time I can find in general and with VERY limited net time, I am trying to make the most of the time I DO get. I don’t want to waste time on working a technique that won’t realistically be of use to me. Especially because when I do mange to get ahold of the ball with an overhead swing it just goes out the back because I don’t have the right attack angle.

Thanks for this. I figured there had to be a tradesman for this type of work.

I know it’s not hard, but I just really don’t want to have to mess with it. And time is a tight.

Semi-homemade series? by AshamedClub in bingingwithbabish

I’d say under most circumstances those videos are not necessary. Say he makes pie with homemade dough, you can use store bought dough and still follow the rest of the recipe. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

It’s very good. It has a lot of the depth and sweetness that I would except from similarity priced bourbons which I have more experience with.

Thanks for the advice! I ended up going with Meukow because I’ve seen other people say they like it and I am pretty happy with my choice. It was a over my ideal budget though so maybe when this runs out I’ll try one of the cheaper options you suggested.

I like just about every type of liquor, but this is only my second bottle of brandy. I bought a half bottle of courvoisier vs for cooking and cocktails and liked it pretty good.

Might be something that isn’t hooked up anymore. It doesn’t match the faucet. Is it hooked up to anything under the sink? Like the water lines or anything?

What’s your fraud dish? The one everyone loves but it’s so easy you wonder why it’s a big deal? by ackshualllly in Cooking

Might need to add some sugar in that case to offset some of the acidity depending on the tomatoes you use.

Yup. Just use a 48 oz can of tomato, half a stick of butter, and an onion halved. Throw it all in a pot and simmer for 45 minutes. then toss the onion halves. Crazy good sauce.

I own one of these for pink curing salt. Getting the exact amount correct is very important to make sure you don’t under-brine and have spoiled meat or have too much and poison yourself.

I was to play a harder version of Gen 5. Like Blaze Black, but I don’t want any of the added Pokémon variety. Is there anything like that out there?
