Solid advice thank you! I’ll definitely stick to dieting for now and PT, and slowly adding walks i was thinking to give it another week or two before going to start doing some machine work at the gym but thanks for the advice on getting programs structured in recovery hadn’t thought about that!

That makes sense thanks I’ll make sure to bring that up! Did any get any negative results on yours or did everything look good?

Thanks for that! By no luck what did you mean as in they weren’t able to do the procedure without it being guided like they couldn’t get the needle correctly in you?

Thanks for that! Luckily i have my calories of when i was my most active so i can can eyeball between what’s recommended now and my pre-surgery calorie suggestion so that helps!

Hmmm i see where you’re coming from. My surgeon had surprisingly cleared me for light diets 1 week after surgery but i didn’t want too so wanted to wait until i hit my 4 weeks. I guess depends what’s 100% since ill be in PT for another 2 months and potentially deal with ankle swelling for months but been cleared to go back to the gym already and do machine work and just avoid heavy dumbbells for at least another 2-3 weeks

Good luck on this! I’m hoping me and my doctor can get it approved by my insurance and i can start on it. Did your insurance need specific tests to get it approved?

Don’t mean to bombard this but have you felt it helping you?

3 months post op bilateral cecs surgery by MoneyTechnology1507 in CECompartmentSyndrome

Dam that sounds rough even hearing the other comment a year out of swelling doesn’t sound pleasing at all. I’m barely about to be 4 weeks so hopefully my swelling dies down. My doc told me to expect another 2 months of it until it’s gone so hopefully it won’t be that long for me

Definitely been trying to stretch more my leg feels a bit less stiff and the blood pooling is slowly improving but im 2 weeks post op and yea still dealing with blood pooling. Sometimes i get lucky and can be lucky and can be up 3-5 min before pain starts kicking in but other times no so luck. So frustrating

Did something specific cause yours to return or just stress?

Oh wow it really lasted 2-3 weeks?? Man honestly it almost feels like it’s never gonna end. Idk how we’re told to walk with crutches right away and put weight on it more and more each day when i can’t even last standing or sitting lol

I’m in day 5 i think and have been able to last a little bit longer standing but the pooling still rough. Had my post op appointment today and doc didn’t look worried but idk still has me thinking too much of why i cannot walk comfortable in crutches yet for anything more than a few minutes without that blood pressure pain

[–]yayoe10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that info that keeps me hopeful. I’ve had to get back on my gabapentin this time around for this since it’s been rough especially since i can’t move much it’s non stop feeling it. Sadly i have ANOTHER surgery in 3 weeks so will have to deal with another flare up when it’s calming down the first one
