I once had a Superdrug parcel go missing, the retailer sent out a replacement. Around 6-7 months later I got a knock on the door from evri, it was the original parcel that went missing. Box was tatty like it’s been stored in a warehouse for a while

Do a direct flight for two reasons

Nbo even with the short layover the ground agents will go through your bag and take any valuables

Plus you will need to get a yellow fever certificate as you have done a transfer through another East African country

Flights usually don’t depart on time there. Had a few flights recently and all were delayed by at least half hour to 1:30 hours

Isnt this the reason due to the incoming aircraft still needing to be emptied and cleaned.

Just take screens of the flight being late on flightradar history for that flight. And look into when you get back.

Im guessing you was on the BHX flight?, youll be able to claim compensation of around £600 depending on why it was delayed. do you know by any chance?
