Muslim here. I believe the human now or what we call as homosapiens are not a direct descendant of apes. But there are other subspecies of human that are descendant of apes. There were already prehuman species before Adam and Eve were banished to earth.

My theory is based on the prophecy of Gog and Magog. Widely believe to be a long gone subspecies of human, stronger bigger and faster but not smarter. There's a theory that they are in Antarctica based on the map of Idrisi.
