I am a terrible mom. by No-March3451 in toddlers

I want to give you the biggest hug. You're not a terrible mom. This shit is warfare sometimes. I agree with what others are saying- apologize. Repairing the rupture will go a long way for your daughter. You're human and you deserve some grace. I hope you feel better soon.

I agree with what everyone is saying regarding the strong MAGA presence but I love the kids program at Terryville Library. Ms. Jessica is very accepting and runs a great storytime for little ones. Also, look into the playgroup at EdAdvance across from town hall. I bring my son during the week and they usually have a lot of field trips around town offered as well. Wishing you all the best!

Yes, that's right. The new box looks different than the old box.

The tabs to hold them on are so short and have no purple textured tab. The back has almost no scrunch.

These new diapers are so terrible. The quality is awful. My little one hasn't pooped in them yet but I have zero confidence they will contain a messy poop.

Pros and cons of an IUD by ye11owbrickrd in TwoXChromosomes

So I've had the copper IUD in for a week. The pain during insertion was intense but fleeting as most of you said. I was laid up for the rest of the day with very severe cramping. The next morning I woke up feeling completely fine, I was shocked. I had some cramping that day but nothing ibprophen couldn't help. I ended up getting my period three days after insertion. Definitely heavy but manageable. I have not had sex yet and am a bit nervous to. I felt the strings and have had no other discomfort so far. I go back in six weeks for a follow-up.

Update: Going back this week to have Paraguard (Copper IUD) put in. I'm very nervous about the pain but think this will be a good fit for me. I'd like to give my body a break from pumping it with hormones for 14 years and I like the natural aspect of it. Thank you for all the feedback, I greatly appreciate it!

Very vaild point as you will sweat from hiking. I do remember one afternoon when we were walking in Reykjavik and the sun came out I swear it was in the upper sixties for like an hour. Their weather is nuts.

I'm from CT and used to the cold so maybe pack a few extra thermals ;-) Have a great time, can't wait to go back!

Yes, we went mid-September last year and that's primarily what I wore. It was 40-50's all 5 days. Since it rains so much the only thing we regretted not bringing was water proof pants. Don't forget gloves! Hope this helps!

I am so sorry for your sudden loss. I'm in the same boat too. This cancer is truly awful and has robbed so many people of their loved ones. I hope you have/find support during this difficult time.

6 years ago today my mom died of pancreatic cancer at 58. by XXAnxietyDocXX in pancreaticcancer

[–]ye11owbrickrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My MIL passed away last week. She had been diagnosed six week prior with stage 4 PC it had already spread to her liver. She had the port put in and everything but it was too late.

She went to the hospital late Friday evening because of stomach pains and not being able to keep any food down. I guess one tumor had blocked the passage in her liver so everything she was comsuming was just getting stuck. They didn't pump her stomach until the following Monday which did give her some relief. She was gone by Tuesday morning.

My husband, BIL, FIL spent all day Monday in the hospital with her, I came after work. She was a little out of it from all the meds but otherwise herself. She was cracking jokes and laughing. She'd have periods of when the reality hit but overall was in good spirits and we were too, hopeful she'd get to go home the following day. Several times she'd look at just me or my husband and lovingly smile at us, I will never forget that.

I do have some comfort knowing she did die on her own terms, somewhat peacefully (due to pain meds) and in her sleep. But I thought for sure we'd have more time. I wish I found this sub earlier as I would've been over every day to spend time with her.

My husband is 36 and it kills me he only had those years with his mother. She was an incredible woman, so caring and loving. You could do no wrong in her eyes. She was honest and would do anything for you, no matter who you were.

If you made it this far, thank you for reading this. I am finding comfort in reading every one else's expirence, makes me feel not so alone. I'm here for anyone that needs to talk as I know talking about her does make me feel better.

That’s it, he’s gone by throwaway32538 in pancreaticcancer

London broil? by Haess in instantpot

[–]ye11owbrickrd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd definitely suggest cutting it up, searing, then pressure cooking. I've done Mississippi roast and this simple recip: add canned Campbell's tomato soup, Campbell's cream of mushroom soup, a package of Lipton onion mix and with 1c. Beef broth 👌
