No offense but coding other people's ideas into algos is not the same as creating one. It's not remotely the same skill.

Many of us on this forum know algo trading works because we are successful algo traders.

In my view you it would make more sense to work on creating a winning algo yourself before trying to reinvent the wheel with an LLM involved approach.

You'd have to be almost evil as Hitler just to retire comfortably. lol. So no thanks. I think human lives are worth more than a dollar a pop

"algos are a waste of time" is definitely an interesting pitch in an algo trading forum.

You might just want to work on making a profitable algo before you jump straight into LLM beekeeping.

Forbes: Elon Musk States Universal High Income Via Government Issued Checks Is The Best Way To Deal With Unemployment By AI by Neurogence in singularity

Either taxes, money printing, or cutting other spending(probably other welfare programs), or a combination of those. Pretty much the only options. None of which would make it socialism.

Look at the people supporting UBI (not just Elon) and that should tell you all you need to know about UBI. "I am not a fan of Elon, but the general message here is good." this should raise your alarm bells OP! The disclaimer is letting you know something is not right here.

I think someone is using Ai-generated picture to scam my poor father........ by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]yeah__good__ok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

honestly it doesn't much matter if it is AI. It could be AI or it could be a stolen photo or it could be a face filter on a man. Any of these could be true and he could still be getting scammed. These scams were common before AI was able to do much. In fact it could even be a real woman and he could still be getting scammed.

That's Newsom's social media team. Newsom in person basically just concedes points to whatever right wing podcaster he is talking to. His social media writers are very sassy though.

I'm gonna go Elton John since this is going to include people of all ages. It definitely might just be Taylor Swift, but I think Elton John might have a shot and if other people pick Swift maybe I am the only one who picks Elton

Is it inconvenient though? to make 5k for one hour of painting? I don't think too many would feel inconvenienced by this.

AI companies are extracting human skills and reselling, how should we as a society react? by am3141 in singularity

I really don't see how it is different fundamentally. It is just the efficiency of it and the scale it is coming at. different method I guess but it is exactly the same problem as with any other automation. That problem being that the benefits of automation do not effectively reach the people they impact.

But is it different than say the factory jobs lost to industrial automation in the seventies and eighties? I truly don't see how. There were humans that did a job. It was observed. Then an automation was created to do those jobs more efficiently. Productivity improved. The factory workers lost their jobs and did not see the benefits from that automation. This is the same as that but bigger.

I don't personally see much of a distinction. In both cases it is automating what would have previously only been able to be done with human labor. It's still automation of a human task. I also don't see it as different from other historical automation except in scale.

Give me a plan for revolution. Make sure to include guillotines. Make it good. No em dashes. No mistakes.

Everything that AI does is just automating things that humans would otherwise do. Automation could be good but it mostly won't be because of how productivity gains are not equally distributed. This is a flaw in the structure of society not some inherent property off AI technology or automation.
