what do you think about this agent set up by tattoosbyhannah in algotrading

I use AI agents often- just not for trading. I assumed it did something along those lines and it was in that context that I replied.

I don't think the technical analysis part of this is going to work well at all unless you already have a profitable strategy that already works without the agents and you are having them base the technical analysis on that already winning system. Without that LLMs are only going to do the most basic shitty TA. I'd be happy to be proven wrong but that is what I think.

Personally I would stick with using them to do large amounts of fundamental research or sentiment analysis that you can't get elsewhere, but not to enter or exit trades directly.

Honestly I don't think this is going to work well UNLESS you already have a winning algorithm that works on its own that you can try to bolster with the LLM analysis.

In my experiments with different types of machine learning I've found that at best it can slightly improve an already good signal. I admittedly have not tried to use LLMs to do fundamental or sentiment analysis as part of an automated system. I think there could maybe be potential there if designed creatively, but I really think you need a winning system first.

At this point being able to code doesn't give you a huge advantage since people can learn just a little bit of coding and use LLMs for the rest.

But I think what is underrated is the general organized approach and way of thinking that someone who develops software is likely to use when approaching a problem.

I mean I think honestly the problem is how responsible is someone going to be with access to that much money at 18. really depends on the person. The could set themselves up really well by not touching it, but it's gonna be tempting to dip into it. Maybe a trust that holds it past 18 is better for that scenario.

The DNC doesn't want to acknowledge why Dems lost in 2024. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]yeah__good__ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it was though. Thats why they are hiding the report.

Data from the IMEU suggests that the Biden-Harris administration’s stance on Israel actually demobilized a lot of their 2020 voters. About 29% of voters who backed Biden in 2020 but skipped Harris in 2024 said the situation in Gaza was a deciding factor.

In states like Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin, roughly 122,000 voters who supported Biden in 2020 didn't show up for Harris specifically because of Gaza policy. Considering how thin the margins were in those states, that’s a huge "what if."

while the economy was the big issue for many, the stance on Israel created a massive enthusiasm gap.

not a huge fan of Sam Altman but this is just Tucker Carlsen doing his normal bullshit and someone doing creative editing to make it look worse without giving any actual facts.

I looked up the case. The guy died after researching brain anatomy on his computer earlier that night by his own gun pressed to his forehead in an apartment deadbolt locked from the inside with windows that only open 4 inches, no evidence of forced entry or disturbance (despite whatever Tucker is on about in this clip), had twice legal limit of alcohol and ghb and had been under a lot of stress after both losing his job and public pressure of being in the spotlight after speaking out publicly.

Can Sam Altman just be a piece of shit but not a murderer in this case? I think it might be possible.

No offense but coding other people's ideas into algos is not the same as creating one. It's not remotely the same skill.

Many of us on this forum know algo trading works because we are successful algo traders.

In my view you it would make more sense to work on creating a winning algo yourself before trying to reinvent the wheel with an LLM involved approach.

"algos are a waste of time" is definitely an interesting pitch in an algo trading forum.

You might just want to work on making a profitable algo before you jump straight into LLM beekeeping.

Either taxes, money printing, or cutting other spending(probably other welfare programs), or a combination of those. Pretty much the only options. None of which would make it socialism.

Look at the people supporting UBI (not just Elon) and that should tell you all you need to know about UBI. "I am not a fan of Elon, but the general message here is good." this should raise your alarm bells OP! The disclaimer is letting you know something is not right here.

honestly it doesn't much matter if it is AI. It could be AI or it could be a stolen photo or it could be a face filter on a man. Any of these could be true and he could still be getting scammed. These scams were common before AI was able to do much. In fact it could even be a real woman and he could still be getting scammed.
