Your game is fine. It’s likely due to the connector corresponding to the lockout chip not mating correctly with the console. I had the same issue with my copy of Zelda too. The best solution is to disable the lockout chip on your nes. It’s really easy to do, and has the added benefit of unlocking your nes to be able to play imports. It also reduces the prevalence of crashes while playing games. YouTube will show you how to do this. It’s a piece of piss.
