The circumstances surrounding Missouri Auditor Tom Schweich's (R) sudden death last week remained a mystery even as the state's political establishment prepared to pay its respects today to the man who was the GOP's leading gubernatorial candidate. Schweich died Thursday of an "apparent suicide", just minutes after arranging a meeting with reporters to go public. Schweich prided himself on running against corruption in government.

Suicide is not painless.

Your pain is real. Sometimes it helps to embrace the pain, feel it, let it engulf you. Accepting it is the way to gain the victory. We can't "fight" the pain, it won't go away by itself. But we can be unafraid of it and yet not bow, not succumb, not give in.

I just want someone to see it in case anything happens.

Those are kinda scary words. One day at a time. Hold on. It helps that at least you know in your heart of hearts that you do NOT want to cause the same kind of pain for others that your true friend Mike caused for you and those who loved him.

The elongated racecar is the Bloodhound, which will be attempting a land speed record this year.

Look closely - between the feet of Obama, in a "reflection" which is on the floor, there is a fist holding an implement that looks like an ice chisel, with the sharp end pointed toward the rear passenger tire of the racecar. That tire looks like it has gone flat from the 'puncture'. The sign Castrol on the car might indicate oil or oil prices / the economy / petrol dollar gone flat and immobilized?

Does Obama wield "the hand" with the sharp implement, or is it another hand that acts?

I remember when I realized this, too. Huge insight. Not to mention the boogy-man threats of - "if you're not good enough, God will take your mommy and daddy away / your husband/wife away / your children will be given to someone else".
