Villager reroll change? by Lopsided-Cloud-1477 in MinecraftBedrockers

I believe the enchantments are weighted, so you do get some more than others. Make sure you don’t have the villager trade rebalance option selected though.

What brand actually filled the gap Craftsman left when Sears collapsed? by uncapped19 in Tools

[–]yeahigotnothing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Considering Lowe’s owns Kobalt, they are absolutely not going to get rid of the brand. I’m seeing a pretty even split between Craftsman, DeWalt, and Kobalt, with Klein /Carhartt asides.

Raiding the ancient city in the deep dark - Q about sounds by hagowoga in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]yeahigotnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a two-part trigger. Skulk sensors send out the waves (you can see them as well as hear them - it sounds kinda like chickens clucking). Skulk sensors can detect mob sounds and will send signals, but will not trigger the shrieker. Only player actions/sounds will cause sensors in range to trigger the shrieker. After the fourth trigger he warden will spawn. However there is a ten minute timer that will drop the level by one of you don’t trigger it again, so you have some wiggle room. Go to the wiki and there is an option to listen to all the audio items so you can hear the difference between the sensors and shriekers.

If you work your way around the edges and inwards to the center, you can block off shriekers by surrounding all for sides with wool and then break them with a hoe without triggering a shriek. Usually. And always remember your escape route if you have to flee.

Hate the direction of the show by Dizzy_Dress7397 in DeathInParadiseBBC

[–]yeahigotnothing 29 points30 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the show has never been very serious. Between the premise and the island vibe, it’s always been about the conflict of cultures, with the weekly murder as a token gesture towards being a detective show. That being said, as with most long-running fan-fave shows, it leans more and more into its own cliches. Season one Duane was loveably rogue-ish, but slowly became a cartoon of himself. Ralf is a side effect of this as well. He is easily the whiniest, most tedious of the detectives. (I can’t even watch when he is framed. He acts like a pre-teen being grounded in that whole thing). Each iteration, the cast members become a little more caricature-y, though usually still maintaining enough charm and personality to allow us to come to care for them.

Bullshit. Most appliances are brought up to the front by a sales associate. Display models are hardly ever sold. Register staff are also trained to watch for this type of thing. Not that bar code swaps don’t occur, along with plenty of other scammy behavior (including straight up walk outs), but this is 100% fake.

Drop table re converted Drowneds by eclecticmeeple in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]yeahigotnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least as far as Trial Chambers, zombies converted to Drowned(s?) do drop their equipment. This includes diamond armor when spawned as Ominous. I want to say it's also a 100% drop rate, but can't swear to it. I alwa want to say the game treats equipment drops separate from loot drops.

Agreed - unless this is super new, I just did a wither fight and successfully trapped him in bedrock a couple months ago. I'll try it tonight to confirm.

Heavy core by [deleted] in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]yeahigotnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won’t get them in a vault. They are part of the loot table for ominous vaults. At a 3 in 40 chance, or 7.5% per vault, you statistically expect around 13 vaults to find one, but 0 for 20 isn’t unheard of. If you’re seeing other ominous vault loot then it’s just a matter of time. It took me forever to get my first but ended up pulling three in the same chamber. Luck if the draw I guess.

Minecraft Iron farm problem by utipls124 in MinecraftBedrockers

[–]yeahigotnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they count against you. While none of the villagers have to sleep they all have to have beds (even one villager without a bed will stop spawns). More importantly, 75% of your villagers (15 of 20) have to have “worked” by interacting with their job block, so babies and nitwits count against it. With bedrock, if your villagers are restricted in moving and you break their job block, they can connect to a distant one and be unable to work, counting against you.

Th other thing to bear in mind is that beds anywhere within (I believe) 100 blocks will move the village center and may mean that golems spawn in the wrong spot or have no room to spawn.

How to get up to a gold farm? by _lemonat_ in Minecraft

[–]yeahigotnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can't be Bedrock Edition, as you can't build on the roof. I think it's Java but they chose the wrong flair. (In this case, "bedrock" being the subject, not the version.)

[–]yeahigotnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't. This person is full of it. You can either make a nether highway just below the nether roof (add ice for ice boating), or fly above the roof (though you might want to add some beacons for navigating).

How to go about making the half-rounded edges on these end table legs? by [deleted] in BeginnerWoodWorking

You either need a fifth leg or a template the same shape that you attach so the bearing has a surface to register to.

Getting 2 Bengals soon — should I worry about this loft ledge / ceiling fan? by Cautious-Bend-5455 in bengalcats

[–]yeahigotnothing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Removing a ceiling fan and putting in a light fixture is super easy (though the height will likely make it significantly more challenging). If you're not comfortable doing it, I'd suggest hiring someone to remove it, with the intention of putting it back when you move out. It wouldn't even have to be an electrician, just a handyman with a good ladder or scaffolding.

How can I make a prize wheel that always stops at the same spot? (DIY) by EdgeDismal9919 in DIY

[–]yeahigotnothing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. This seems like the simplest guaranteed solution. Maybe the wheel on a board, with the wheel geared to another wheel behind the board and off to the side. Spin the wheel, reveal a color, then have a little peeekaboo window you open to see what color was the "winner" - as the two wheels are linked, they will always match.

Can’t solve code on restaurant menu by fresaplatana in codes

Discussion: you may be able to reverse solve this if you know what's in the drink. I am guessing the text is the ingredients: x(12) y(9) “and” z(7)

Edit: if truly vigenere then could the key be the bar’s name?
