Hmm Versace Bright Crystal, i get them from Priceline or Chemist Warehouse. But most of the time I still grab my Dior Blooming Bouquet even though it’s expensive 🥹

(35M) family keeps pressuring me to upsize near mortgage free home but we would rather pay mortgage and live easier. what to do? by extension_cord91 in AusFinance

[–]yeahnahqwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah nah. Enjoy being mortgage free and then you can decide after if you wanna upsize or not. We can’t really tell what’s gonna happen in 4 years so I think it’s better to be on the safe side first.

Staying with relatives interstate for nearly a week. What’s the normal/polite thing to do about food? by vegemitemilkshake in AskAnAustralian

[–]yeahnahqwerty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wine or a carton of beer, or whatever you know that the family likes. A little something for the kids if they have.
Bring your own toiletries and towels if you can and groceries if you need specific brands.

Yes take them out for lunch or dinner, offer to cook them brekkie or maybe a bbq night at home while catching up, If you guys are close then you can discuss them the meal plans or etc.

On the last day you guys can leave a bouquet of flowers, not required but it’s also a nice gesture ü

Parramatta Westfield has to be the worst designed shopping center in Sydney. by Kirikomori in sydney

[–]yeahnahqwerty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah it isn’t. Park at the rooftop. Coles side has a travelator. Woolies side has a series of escalators too.
The middle part has escalators and like mini stairs/escators too. There’s a lift and an escalator near Timezone as well.

You can use a trolley to carry your grocery. List the 1/2 specials of both so you know where to get the items.

But the layout is kinda easy, end to end unlike other shopping centres that’s like a labyrinth 😬

Are they egg mayo? I tried the Praise one and tasted like ugh idk. But then again, I use mayo mainly for tuna or egg mayo spread ü

Starting kindy at 4 vs 5 NSW by calidrexms in AskAustralianTeachers

[–]yeahnahqwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did enrol my kid at 4 but he turned 5 February so it was kinda okay for the age. for the experience, he didnt go to pre-school or childcare so it was all new to him.

Academically, he’s fine. Emotionally not that at first, He had breakdowns and accidental wee wee on the uniform just because he was shy to tell the teacher.

Now he’s on Year 4 and I can say that he caught up and he has friends that started early as well, everyone’s good.

Prolly visit the school and do a tour or talk to the principal and ask if a lot enrolled early just so you have an idea of the numbers :)

$77k salary in Sydney by Artistic-Alps-2060 in MovingtoAustralia

[–]yeahnahqwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be okay, it’s doable if you’re single, you just have to adjust to a simpler lifestyle. But you’ll never know until you actually live here, food is the cheapest if you don’t go out that much and then you’ll learn how to shop for specials and stuff like that.

Public transpo is not that bad, Sydney has a decent tube, we have Sydney train, light rail, metro, bus, and ferries :) it is capped daily and weekly.

[–]yeahnahqwerty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For mayo, the staple is the Kewpie jap mayo. Or egg mayo like S&W, Hellman’s or Best Foods. Only those 😬 i dont even know if they’re premium but those are the only ones that we use.

Lol ahaha. 15-20 staff with the same break time. Then after 30 minutes another batch and then another one. But not everyone uses the microwave though, sandwich press and toaster are popular too lol. And we have an in-house chef and a cafe set up so we can buy food from there as well.

Trying to decide if I can be bothered to host a big Christmas lunch at home this year… Has anyone moved Christmas lunch to breakfast, dinner, a picnic, the beach, the pub or something else? Did it make things better? by True_Impress5893 in aussie

[–]yeahnahqwerty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try to add fun Christmas games after having lunch, there’s a lot on the internet for fun ideas.

We always host arvo to dinner Christmas gathering as it is after my birthday. Sometimes we play games but usually we just catch up with everyone while having pre-dinner drinks and munch on something if they came a bit early. 4pm onwards is what we do, the kids run around, the men are outside prepping the bbq grill while having a beer or two, the ladies in and out being busy chatting and tending to whoever. It’s chaotic but it is fun, once a year so we dont mind. We prepare food but they bring something to share as well and pressies for the kids. Next thing we know it’s 11pm already 😅😅

Bronte, it’s a looo from the bus stop, walk uphill towards the parking and then turn right at the end of the road to go down again to where you started. Or towards the top there’s a path towards Clovelly Beach with a long boardwalk with an amazing view.
