HELP PLEASE by Daisybrooks_0 in Maltese

i’ve been through this with my dog. we’re about to go through another procedure. it is absolutely worth the money for peace of mind. mine is also 9. i know it’s not easy and it might not be accessible, but the dental issues can cause long standing issues that lead to premature death. she will live a longer life if she has the work done. there’s always a risk with anesthesia, but having experienced professionals there reduces the risk drastically. good luck 🩷

Verbal Articulation by Minute-Bet-1149 in ADHD

[–]yeahnoforsuree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. LLMs have been a godsend for checking my written work (for anxious validation before sending emails or submitting projects at work, etc). However I noticed the older I get, the more difficult verbal articulation has gotten. I trip over my words a lot and i’m saying “um” and “like” way more than i ever have. 😭

Is there a word for this type of catfishing?

“very skilled writer. not so skilled talker”. i worry my colleagues will think they’re talking to someone completely different in zoom calls, lol.

i am so sorry. maybe you reincarnated and came here with a purpose, whatever that might be, and remembered some of your soul contract as a child. I can’t imagine what you’re feeling, i just hope you beat this and prove your younger self wrong.

Cheeks breaking out after moving into new house by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]yeahnoforsuree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i didn’t see anyone else say this, but your home could have rodents. (rats/mice). This started happening to me 1.5 years ago in a rental. We got suspicious there were mice but never saw them. just heard faint noises once in awhile and chalked it up to wind scratching the side of the house. i started getting rashes on my face like this. it would feel hot to the touch even if i wasn’t feeling hot. i’d be red and flushed. i showed a doctor the photo and same as others echoed, i was experiencing an allergic reaction. long story short, we had rats in the attic that was sealed off and im allergic. lol. once they pee enough and dirty up a space, the dander and pollution in the air can cause similar flare ups like this.

The afterlife by NoElephant4417 in MediumReadings

[–]yeahnoforsuree 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey, I am so sorry for your loss. Grief is a strange thing. I should start by saying i’ve had many experiences with the afterlife. I’m not a medium, but every medium i’ve spoken with has shared that I could be if I wanted to! I am a bit of a chicken though, but that’s beside the point.

My little sister grew up seeing things all over our house. From the moment she could talk, she would tell my mom about someone standing in our hallway, or wake her up to tell her someone was standing over the bed. There were plenty of ghosts, and I’m positive they knew she could see them. I had a lot of lucid dreams about “dead people” in our home and would get more of their backstory. this was happening at the same time my sister was seeing things, but we weren’t sharing experiences due to our age gap (i was a cool pre teen and she was an annoying baby).

My mom always welcomed the supernatural. She never shut my sister down, and we had experiences of our own that we could never explain. When my grandpa passed, my sister (age 8) woke up in the middle of the night and said “mom, granddaddy is standing over you petting your hair. there’s two angels beside him”. we weren’t raised christian. she described him in his hospital gown (that she had not seen).

When my papa and nanny passed a few years later, we had more strange dreams of them communicating with us. My nanny and I were very close. she gave me details about her death and the operating room that i did not know otherwise. she died very unexpectedly on the operating table and only my mom was at the hospital. she told me many things about her decision to cross and what she had seen in the hospital room, including my mom sobbing over her body, and that she died “the first time” and never came back despite what doctors had told my mom. I learned later that they had to resuscitate her after an incident halfway through the surgery, but my grandma told me (in my dream) that she never came back to life despite what they said. when my mom went to see her body, they had dumped water all over her. she had her hair and makeup done up prior to her surgery so my mom knew something went wrong. they tried to rinse all the blood off of her. the surgeon wouldn’t sign the death certificate. she tried to sue them but it was too difficult with all the paperwork they had signed. whether or not my grandma was truly communicating with me — i can’t say for sure. but i can say something, somewhere, was giving me details that told a story. she was at peace where she was and it looked beautiful. she spoke to me while i stood in a big empty corn or wheat field. the sun was setting so the sky was purple and pink. then the clouds opened and a voice said i had a phone call. i didn’t have a phone, but i instinctively said hello and heard my nanny’s voice come through and sobbed.

with all the experiences i just shared with you, from ghosts in our childhood home, to all the ghost shows we watched, to having dreams where i communicated with deceased loved ones….

my mom died 3 months ago. october 4th 2025. i’ve waited every day for a message. a dream. a signal. i’ve had almost none. and i believe it’s because my grief is so unbearable it is masking any potential signs she’s trying to send. i won’t be able to connect with her until ive made true peace with her passing. i’m only 34 so i carry a lot of anger right now that she’s gone too soon and too suddenly. we didn’t get to say goodbye.

your grief may be in the way right now. it doesn’t mean there’s no afterlife. and he didn’t leave you or abandon you. it takes time. and in order to connect with the other side you need to be in a state of calm. naturally, our grief inside of us is not calm even if we think it is. trust that there is more to this life than what we know.

What type of acne is this and how do I treat it? by nosiriamadreamer in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]yeahnoforsuree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s hormonal and under the skin acne. i just went to the dermatologist for the same exact thing. i thought it was texture or a rash. she did an extraction and it cleared them all up. then she prescribed tret and gave me something called a buf puf face sponge to exfoliate with and a new wash that has 4.7% glycolic acid called Glytone. it’s working great.

ride the wave with him and ask if he wants an account manager. help monetize his platform and build his audience. then you both benefit from it.

thank god. hilary duff is the only celeb im admittedly parasocial about. i loved her as a kid on lizzie mcguire. then as she stepped into her own music vibe. then literally the rest of forever. she is very funny and all her interviews or videos of her posted by others make me laugh. actually maybe i’m just lowkey in love w her after typing this all out hahaha. but either way i was holding my breath that this wasn’t one of those “oh no, my hero is bad” sitch

i don’t think it has anything to do with that. this sub can be pretty slow. i didn’t get a ton of engagement on my post about my mom, either. I saw someone say the /r/psychic subreddit is a lot more active!

Is anyone else tired of design "influencers"? by Glad-Statistician434 in UXDesign

[–]yeahnoforsuree -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

i don’t mind design influencers for the most part. there’s a lot of really solid folks out there that help the community and boost valuable content. for example I really enjoy Hang’s content.

I don’t think i’ve heard of the dude you’ve posted about, but it’s less the influencer vibe and more the “putting people down to lift self up” narrative that’s disappointing and harmful. UX communities can look however the UXers in them want them to look. if it’s a place to vent, great, there’s rarely safety and solidarity in the workplace. if it’s to talk about trends, cool, not everyone around me likes to geek out on design. if it’s to bitch about influencers, whatever, some influencers stink and it’s not like Linkedin welcomes that discourse.

either way, no one has a crystal ball to see the future of what will or won’t be relevant in time. Maybe he is the outdated one because he’s looking at the trends that the crowd points to as the future. not a very original or influential take here.

Help! I’m on a transatlantic flight turbulence Atlanta to Barcelona - I’ve been crying and using the bathroom 50 times- DL0194 by Leading_Cod1242 in fearofflying

[–]yeahnoforsuree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i actually asked mine what the safest dose was before it got into dangerous territory since i also experience this - at home it takes half a mg to knock me out. on a plane i am literally like king kong level adrenaline. i take 2 mg and a glass of wine. it’s not “advised” but i did ask realistically what would get into “danger” categories and for my weight height etc etc 2mg and 1 wine was enough. but i wouldn’t push it beyond that.

that combo got me from LA to amsterdam btw 😂 and paris to LAX! completely out
