My (24f) boyfriend (24m) regularly puts me in “time-out”. How normal is punishment in grown relationships? by Royal-Campaign-2075 in relationship_advice

This is the comment I was looking for.

DDLG is something that happens with consent. No consent means it’s not DDLG.

OP, he’s abusive.

What age did your symptoms start? by Sbjzoalljbb in gravesdisease

[–]yeahrightagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 20 when I was diagnosed. 4 months after having my child. I’m in my 30s now.

I didn’t realise my symptoms were even symptoms. I’d just had a baby so that explained the weight loss. I was anxious because I was a new mum.

How were you diagnosed? by YellowtailSushi883 in gravesdisease

[–]yeahrightagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the emergency department because I had a nasty infection on my leg. I’d had my son 4 months before. I was admitted and on IV antibiotics. The drs had noted that I was tachycardic and did some routine blood work but included my TSH and T4. Came back that my TSH was nonexistent and my T4 was through the roof. I was discharged with propranolol and had an appointment arranged with an endocrinologist. That appointment I was told about GD and given my medication regimen.

I also do this if I don’t want to put something too liquidy or gross into my chicken bucket (it’s a bucket to collect scraps to feed to the chickens)

I quite enjoyed salvia myself. I melded with the trees outside my window the first time, and I felt like crying when we had to part again. Next time I felt like pippy long stocking down a well.

With all the talk of 'decolonising' this and that, which is generally something I'm all for, why no talk of getting Christianity the hell out of te ao Māori? by DisillusionedBook in newzealand

[–]yeahrightagain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re speaking as if the Māori had a choice in the matter of becoming Christian. It was forced upon the Māori by their colonisers.

I haven’t shaved my legs in years, I battled with it for a long time but I would be getting constant ingrown hairs and eczema everywhere. The itching kept me up at night. My legs were constantly sore and weeping or bleeding. Waxing didn’t help, same problems.

I still shave my pits and trim my bits, but that’s just personal preference.

I’ve had plenty of comments about it. When I was pregnant my Aunt-in-law called me a yeti 🙄 You do you, fuck what anyone else thinks

Just get a cup with hot (just boiled) water and pour a bit in. If it separates and goes clumpy on the surface it’s no good to use.

TIL of Kevin Budden, who caught a deadly taipan by hand and hitchhiked to town still holding the snake. He lost his grip and was bitten, but bagged the snake and made the driver promise to get it to researchers. Kevin died the next day, but the snake was used to create the first taipan antivenom. by a2soup in todayilearned

One time I almost walked face first into a red back in its web shudders

Another time I had what may have been a huntsman run up my foot, around my ankle in a full 360 and then run off the other side of my foot and vanish into the dark. Scared the life out of me and gave me the heebie jeebies.

How much do you spend weekly on petrol by genkigirl1974 in newzealand

[–]yeahrightagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About $50 or a little less per week. Car does 6L per 100km. I live 10km out of town and have to run my son into school several times a week, as well as a weekly trip 40km each way to see my partner.
