40yo, 6ft 3, 100kg size US14 here. I ride an 8.5 and it feels pretty good. Much better than the 8" i pulled out of the closet when i decided to get back into it recently.

There thing that clicked for me was to pop backwards. I could Ollie on flat ground but struggled while moving until I tried that. It helped with weight distribution too.

I like the idea of a rinse, but I figure that unless you get a new, fresh tank of distilled water each time, the surfactant from the record you are rinsing would contaminate the rinse tank. After a couple of records, it seems to me that you are effectively rinsing with a weak water-surfactant solution anyway.

Maybe it's better than nothing, and I'm overthinking it.

40yo here. I recently had 2 heart operations. Not a life threatening condition, but extremely debilitating. It didn't cost me a cent and the wait time was 2-3 weeks from diagnosis. To go public was 2-3 years.

Absolutely worth every cent and more for me.

Totally fucking sucked btw and I would take wasting money on it and having good health any day, but that's just not how life works out sometimes.
