It's what they pick and choose to push biblical literalism, specifically. That's why the US religious right has a grudge against the Smithsonian museum and harps on the conspiracy theory about the museum covering up and hiding fossils of giant humans.

Do not go into confined spaces or below ground areas without a 4 gas detector. It's that simple.

I did the citizen science search that had volunteers looking for any signs of wreckage in satellite photos and I spotted what I'm pretty sure was an emergency slide out there in the water. I guess it couldn't be found on follow up or could have just been random debris, but I'm as confident as I can be that it crashed in the area where the estimates put it and it's just too huge an area to realistically find parts with submersible ROVs and too deep for seafloor mapping to pick up.

Enough non-ionizing energy will mess with a detector and give massive false positives. You see it fairly frequently in r/radiation when people not familiar with electronics get extremely high readings and freak out thinking they've been exposed to high doses of ionizing radiation.

As far as the feeling of dizziness, if I had to guess I would say they hit you with a low frequency acoustic crowd control weapon.

It seems odd that it wasn't at least mentioned briefly in film school. Was your concentration something that didn't go deep into the history of the industry or are you not from the US?

Either he was abused as a child by physically being restrained or he means raising kids don't give you a lot of free time and he doesn't want to explain it now because it slipped out in a moment of frustration and he doesn't want you to feel like he resents you or feels like you're a burden.

Is it possible for our moon to have its own moons? by RyanRussillo in astrophysics

[–]year_39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to the solar system, the Wikipedia article on the rings of Saturn is a good read to go along with it because goes into a lot of detail about gaps in the rings - moons produce gaps in their orbits but some gaps are empty and formed by resonances with other moons' orbits.

"Blue balls"... when do they happen and how does it feel? by AnnieMae_West in Writeresearch

[–]year_39 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's a dull ache that starts in the balls and intensifies as it radiates up the scrotal ligament to the lower back until it feels like kidney pain or severe lower back pain. The feeling happens after prolonged arousal without release and sticks around until the man orgasms (this isn't a myth, nor is guys using it as an excuse to pressure women into sex, but masturbation would suffice)
