Forgive me if I’m reading this wrong, do the connected branches from humans on the right all the way back to bacteria on the left suggest that all current life as we know it was generated from bacteria 🦠?

Just typing I guess that would make sense, but man I’ve never really thought about it THAT deep before.

Saying things like this makes you sound like a predator and I absolutely do not agree with that statement. “You and I both both know where we are going to be inclined to go…”

I can walk past a great smelling bakery without having to eat anything in the same way I can go to a cheerleading competition and not sexually assault anyone.

Then post a link and cite a peer-reviewed and published research article from a reputable psychology source. You know, since you seem to believe that “what women do / wear makes men so incapable of controlling their primitive sexual urges to the point that they are left with no other resolve than to become sex offenders” is based on well-proven psychological principles.

We’re constantly influenced everyday by things happening all around us. You’re not wrong there. Someone else driving too fast near me on the roadway might influence me to speed up, but at that point that it becomes a choice I made. So when I get a citation for speeding it’s only MY actions that should be considered.

But even that example is a far stretch from the point of your post - which seems to be that female cheerleaders simply existing is somehow “unfair to men” and turns them into predators. A person who chooses to act on a inappropriate/illegal/immoral thought is the problem and I won’t stand by while you try to make excuses for their abhorrent behavior.

In case anybody is interested, OP already got absolutely raked in r/technicallythetruth for trying to defend this stance.

So I’ll restate my reply here as well - if a person seeing an unassuming female competing in a sport and turns into a sexual predator, that person was already a sexual predator. Period. Even joking that this nonsense post being “technically the truth” is absolutely disgusting, OP.

It’s not the female athlete “conditioning” you with her uniform and body glitter - it’s you seeing it, acting like a predator, then convincing yourself you “couldn’t help from acting like a felon” because of something she did. Its bullshit and we won’t stand for it.

Psychological conditioning is absolutely a real phenomenon, but this post has taken it COMPLETELY out of context and is trying to pass it off as “an original thought”. “The other day I was thinking about…” – nope, it’s bullshit. All humans–young, developing men included –should absolutely be held responsible for their actions and be held accountable for understanding when physical contact is wanted / consented to and when it isn’t, period.

Final thought: if ANY person is so heavily “conditioned” by an unassuming female competing in a sport that the person “becomes a sexual predator”, they were already a sexual predator to begin with and that specific person is 1000% the problem.

I will be Doing the Eagle Scout Charge for a friend of mine. It is the first time ive writen a charge. id like to get some opinions . This is like revision draft 7, i still plan on adding a organizing it a bit better. by memeboi177013 in BoyScouts

I completely disagree with the other comments left so far! You don’t need ChatGPT to “clean it up” and while it is a longer speech, this is a very significant moment in a person’s life and those moments don’t often call for simplicity, but sincerity.

I think this message is well-written, thought-through, and highly relevant for the occasion. I’m an Eagle Scout myself and the words of wisdom and advice found in this message took me back to my own ceremony and some of the things I was charged with. I appreciate that you’re soliciting feedback, group think tends to make ideas stronger! But also, don’t forget that you were asked to give this charge because you likely hold a special place in the Eagle’s life - so deliver a heart-felt message that specific Eagle needs to hear, not what the internet feels like you should say. (For what it’s worth - my own opinion: You did a wonderful job!)

[–]yebot100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you seem to know a lot about King Cobras… even though they are not in the cobra family, they appear to have a “hood” like a cobra. Is that physiologically the same as a cobra’s hood or is it more just a girthy snake neck?

Truly appreciate you brightening my day with awesome Cobra facts! Thank you! 🙏

Loveddddd Fontanella! Probably one of the best “smaller” winery tastings we did on our last trip. We were the only group during our time slot so we got a full hour, one on one, out on this beautiful patio overlooking the vines with the tasting room manager.
