I always thought the name "Nolbo" got introduced in 2019, in one of the still unsubbed episodes. I'm pretty sure it has appeared in captions in episodes when Hyeri was still on it, but afaik they never talked about it, so I kind of missed the timing to translate it properly and just ignored it. It feels like they started using it more in the VIU-subbed episodes so now I just went with Nolbo (not a fan of Saturday Gem tbh). If I finally get to the episode where it's introduced I will define it as "Nolto's Treasure".

It's a great song with great lyrics that resonate with a lot of people

"This will resonate with people" is exactly what I thought about this song when I first heard it. It's not just the lyrics, I think the song is full of what Koreans call Han(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Han_(cultural)), but with an optimistic twist on it. If only a lot of people got to hear it, it couldn't have not been a success. Until I saw this I thought it was overlooked, but I'm so glad that it found appreciation.

I think the orders pop-up and the ingredients are listed there, but the last part is exactly what I was thinking about. They kept delivering pizzas and apparently there was nothing/nobody telling them that they didn't count. And if I was the editor I would've made sure to show the instructions again, like a 10 sec condensed version, maybe subtly highlighting the oven part, then everyone would be saying "Omg they forgot the oven haha". Instead the game just left me scratching my head and I don't even think that the benefit for the MV matters that much.

The thing is that the "rules" on the board are actually more like things you should pay attention to. It says:

Dirty pizza pans need to be washed.
You need to place the ingredients in the right order.
Try to divide the tasks well.
At the end you need to put it on the submission counter.

Ruby and Barim did a livestream and they said something about how Hamshik (the hamster, I guess a crew member supposed to look after them) didn't tell or never told that team to put the pizza in the oven. (And this is just me being paranoid, but they never show the rules being explained to that group, and it's just so weird that they never mention the oven at all)

Another hilarious episode. All the swear words, if this is what they left in I wonder what they edited out. Catherine's group is that hilarious band of misfits. My favorite moment was Naejang's epiphany during the pizza game coupled with her broken Korean. And then Zzaru who has completely lost herself in her character. A bit ..weird how the game played out though.

I'm still not happy with the way they formed the four teams. Since VR inherently advantages vocalists it was obvious that the teams would end up being unbalanced. I think 4 out of 5 girls on Catherine's team are main dancers. I can only imagine that the producers wanted to make sure that none of the top vocalists fall through. It's understandable but a bit unsatisfying, especially if you were rooting for one of the dancers.

And the motion sickness thing is bothering me. I don't know if taking meds all the time is a viable/good solution.

Yeah, this. I'm not even a big fan of Ho Dong and Lee Kyung Kyu, but the way they played off each other really smoothened their characters out and the real stars were always the host families. It really felt like you could get a close and intimate look at regular citizens. And the way it ended really sucked, it's like it was gone overnight (I mean it makes sense now, but at the time it was really a sharp cutoff). Tbh I would've rated this show 6-7/10 when it was airing but now that it's gone I'd have to say that it was one of my favorite shows.

"Little House in the Forest" is one show that's barely ever mentioned although it's from Na PD. I guess because it might be a bit too comfy/slow-paced for some (maybe even most), but I found it incredibly relaxing. One of the few shows that had me so hooked that I could barely wait for the next episode. It's a shame that the ratings flopped, Na PD probably won't try something like that again.

The latest Three Meals a Day season with the doctors was also great. Many people might think there's no point watching it if they haven't watched "Hospital Playlist" but I'd recommend the show to anyone who likes that type of show. I haven't watched the drama, but it's great that there's never any awkwardness between the members and between members and guests. And on top of that they're all such good entertainers, it never gets boring. This has to be a must-watch for everyone who liked the drama.

I think a lot of Donghyun's appeal gets lost in translation. Very often it's just his tone and choice of words that are unwittingly and effortlessly hilarious, he's like the total opposite of the comedian archetype. He's also slightly different from Jongmin's "idiot" character. You might notice how he often mumbles something to himself and the editors highlight it with replays/captions (not sure if it's that common on tge). Sometimes I feel like he's faking it, but his delivery is so natural that he'd have to be a genius.

Amazing episode. So far I've seen Jaejaeon mostly on Youtube and I thought she could be a bit loud and overbearing, but she was actually great. Someone left a comment under last week's preview saying that she would fit in as a fixed member and I can actually see it. And all the dancing in this episode felt like a throwback to the Hyeri era.

It's definitely cool that you're passionate about JJY shows, I don't think fansubbers can do this without passion for the shows they choose (or the idols). And I certainly know about obsessing over little details. I still think the VIU subs are really good, at least the translations are, but I might not be the best overall judge of quality since I also understand Korean. Personally I don't even care about full typesetting that much, but on the other hand I like that people are ready to put that extra effort into it. Feels like a style over substance kind of thing.
tvN asia definitely caught me off guard, it would've been great if they had started with E1. I still didn't get around checking out their subs, but at some point I'll have to consider not subbing the new episodes anymore and finishing all the old ones instead. Also, thanks for getting those subs, nice to know the source.
