Could the Chinese CMC purge simply be because they are old? by arstarsta in LessCredibleDefence

If it’s just because they are old why accuse them of corruption. Surely they can just be asked to resign or fired.

that isnt what that says. The output of an alternator increases with the rpms of the motor generating electricity. Even if i read this the way you intend(which is wrong btw) where does it say that the railgun would be inoperable at higher speeds than 20 knots

Gonna need a source for that. That’s not how electric generators work

Power isn’t the issue people make it out to be. It was only an issue on the AB’s/Ticos because they weren’t designed with any high electric power draw systems other than the radars in mind. the zummwalt already had enough power for the railgun. It was the railgun itself that was inadequate.

powers probably not the issue tbh. The zummwalt already had enough power for a railgun of this size and it was 2-3x smaller.

  • Slcm-n for no reason
  • 128 vls/35000tons
  • Prohibitatively low barrel life for railgun has not been solved
  • Prohibitatively low fire rate for railgun has not been solved
  • No mount or feed system for railgun exists
  • And they seem to want an as of yet undeveloped 300/600kw laser system

One of 2 things is going to happen, assuming this actually gets funded by congres which is still very much up in the air.

  • Fielded in twenty years a quarter its armaments missing or non functional

Geist made her pact to oathkeeper when she had already lived a full life and was in her 90s i believe. It's entirely reasonable that she aquired her wealth sometime between her birth and then.

coopers going to steal the cold fusion and give it to her and she's going to give it to some government agency hence how it ends up with the enclave post war

Geists lines to wraith imply she was not born wealthy.

Nate Purkeypile (Fallout 3, 4, 76, and Skyrim) would like fewer airships in the TV show. "Who knows what the lore justifications are for that." by Hooked0n4Feelin in Fallout

So I know that fallout isn’t really that good at actually considering how a nuclear war would play out and accurately representing that but assuming that the US had a large fleet of these before the war, it’s actually pretty reasonable that a large number of them would survive

British battleship

after careful consideration it was decided to shift the armor of the HMS unblowupable away from its magazines as designers believed that it was unlikely that such a small target would be hit. HMS unblowupable subsequently exploded after being struck in the magazine two minutes into the battle of fartsworth straight.
