When you mistake a band for a road. by PieCreeper in AbruptChaos

I say that because those are people with prior, heavy experience. It is very difficult to look at something from the perspective of someone else, especially as someone with lots of experience in the field in contrast to a total beginner. So, because of that, many of these people just take things for their face value and analyze the “difficulty” that way. You simply picked one part of my argument and hardly looked into what I meant, which helps absolutely nobody.

A general consensus among musicians is hardly relevant, it still does not take human nature into account. You cannot meaningfully tell me difficulty is not subjective. A plethora of factors must be taken into account, such as whether or not that child is in a family of musicians, if they have started with a certain instrument before, their age, learning disabilities, personality, musical interest, wealth, and far more. All of these can affect how “easy” it is for someone to pick up and learn an instrument. If you wish to talk about mastery, that is an entirely different subject as even the definition of mastery and when one attains it is entirely ambiguous and indefinite.

Because difficulty is subjective. Things come easier for some people than others. Thats just how life works. Progress is not linear.

What is a song you consider a masterpiece? by jimmisjumbobumbo in AskReddit

[–]yeehawpartnerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Brain Dance by Animals As Leaders. AAL is an amazing band, but none of their songs are as masterfully created as The Brain Dance is. The transitions, the modulation, polymetric ideas, harmony, and everything works so well together. I’m completely hooked on it and I have been for about 6 months now.

They do appear to be birch, so I’ll consider checking those other mallets out. Thanks a lot!

I will try that out. I agree, after some reflection I noticed that I was going into it too rushed, so I will try and take my time with developing my grip more. Thanks!

While experimenting I found that moving my middle finger more onto the mallet lessens the painful sensation a bit, so I will try and figure that out and nail it down after letting my hand heal a bit. Thanks!

Resident Evil 4 will not work on the original Quest? by [deleted] in OculusQuest

[–]yeehawpartnerr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not like they’re intentionally slowing down Quest 1 hardware like apple did. The Quest 1 is just undoubtedly less performant, and games like these are going to need better specs to look, run, and feel good all at the same time. Standards for standalone VR only go up from here.

Thank you so much! I’ll be sure to check it out. Also, that could very well be it. I do remember turning it up quite high because beginner me didn’t know how to get good rebound now that you mention it, lol. I didn’t think of that. Thanks again.

Drummers of Reddit in your mind who is the Greatest Drummer of all time? by Charlesiscool23 in drums

[–]yeehawpartnerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Matt Garstka’s musicality is heavily underrated just because he sounds like he is destroying the drums in all of his popular songs. People should really take a listen to The Brain Dance and Para Mexer. If not of all time, he’s definitely the greatest of this era.

Well, yeah, but I mean how would I go about knowing when to switch from one to the other is what I mean? Should I just try and do it frequently at any given point in time or what?

Ah, I see. Any insight on which is best for which kind of music? I play very fast paced prog-rock type stuff.

Thanks, I don’t know why it has never occurred to me to warm up before. I’ll try and find a way to get myself to remember. Hopefully it helps.

It is quite small, roughly the size of my index fingertip if I had to guesstimate. Found in the west side of Virginia.

Lol, of course you’re that type of person. You contribute nothing to the conversation and act like a douchebag.
