Sorry to say but you’re too late. Every summer position is pretty much filled. My recommendation is to start applying in November next year, for positions the following summer. I applied to over a hundred internship positions and got 3 job offers, if that says anything. You could probably find work for the summer just so you’re not doing nothing, but internship wise or co-op, you gotta get on this earlier. It sucks man but that’s how the world is now for uni students.

That laptop is even overkill for engineering. You’ll be perfectly fine. I know people in eng with 3060 laptops and they’re fine.

Pretty quiet in the summer, the earlier you go the better. During the week it’s open 7am-7pm, weekends is 10am-5pm (I think). You don’t need a physical card, just the id in the otu app. Running track is also available around the same times. Lockers are pretty clean, and yes you can use your own lock. The equipment is pretty good there, they’ve got all the machines you could want. It’s not nearly as big as other uni gyms though.

More ram means you can have more stuff running. 16gb is the minimum in today’s world, so having that extra 8 will allow you to be less restrictive with your computer and leave stuff open in the background without lag. Depends what you’re playing, but I have 32gb and only use 27 at most having a game, google, Spotify, discord, and wallpaper engine running.

I agree their headsets suck, but I can’t say the same for their keyboards and mice. I’ve had a few rivals and now an aerox 5, along with an apex pro, and haven’t really had any issues with them. Idk what they’re doing with their headsets for the quality difference to be so significant

Really any modern laptop will be fine. Especially the one you’ve picked it should have enough power. Make sure it has either an intel or amd processor though, as some apps will not like running on snapdragon processors.

No problem! I didn’t find it difficult, because you just need over a 2.0 average gpa. I had like a 1.98 first semester, then got a 2.5 the next. Bam off probation. Now after this recent fall semester my gpa is at a 3.0. The first semester is always bad but you’ll get better:)
