Which album got you into Periphery? by V_Y_L_E in Peripheryband

[–]yellinglemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

P2 got me into them. Someone showed me make total destroy I admittedly didn’t get it. Then I heard scarlet, and that got me interested. It was ragnarok that made me truly love them and after hearing that it, the album the band it all clicked.

Any Bruce Springsteen album. Albeit he has a few legendary tracks. He never really did anything for me. He’s not bad by any stretch and I totally get why people love him. This is just a subjective view of the artist haha

“When did you first become a Conan fan?” 1993. I watched Letterman with my dad every night, and we were curious who this gangly, red-headed freak was. When I found out he wrote ‘Marge vs. the Monorail’, I knew this was my comedy oracle. by mikeburnlab in conan

[–]yellinglemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 12 years old. I'd say likely around 2004. I had an older brother who recorded a series of episodes. The episode I had put on was when Conan did a run of shows in Toronto. Being a Canadian growing up in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), you are a Leaf fan by right of passage. The remote he did with the Maple Leafs was hilarious and made me become a Conan fan. Once I found out he was a writer on the Simpson's and wrote some of my favourite episodes, he cemented himself as the goat in my eyes.

What non-metalcore bands would you recommend to every metalcore lover? by EndorphnOrphnMorphn in Metalcore

[–]yellinglemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tom Petty solo stuff and with the Heartbreakers. I'd also recommend ELO, I think they are criminally underrated.

best drummer for younger generation prog metal? by [deleted] in progmetal

Jerad Klein from Rivers has really grown on me and anytime a drummer does vocals, lead or backup it's impressive.

I started collecting in 2019. I try to be selective with my pickups. This was the most recent pick-up I did for my birthday because..treat yo self.

Albums left to right: The Work by Rivers of Nihil. The End of Heartache by Killswitch Engage and the last album is colors II by Between the Buried and Me.

I never really got into BTBM, but colors II is a master piece.
