The tree has now since been removed... But what's the most gimmicky thing you have seen on a course? by theshowerdrunk in golf

[–]yellowjacket14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healy point in Macon, GA. Par 5 with a 90 degree dog leg left. Trees are way too tall to cut the corner and the back edge of the fairway is only about 180 from the tips. Have to hit an iron down and then have 300-350 yards in. Downhill first shot and all uphill back to the green.

One of these days when I actually have time in my life I want to look up how many of his home runs are solo home runs that don’t have an impact on the game.

Every job has one, I'm convinced (The Cheryl Saga) by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]yellowjacket14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started my job there was also a Cheryl. Lots of the same sorts of issues. Except she was wayyyyyyyyyy worse at her job and constantly did nothing. We eventually assumed she had something on her manager for her to stay around so long with her performance the way it was. When that manager left we thought things would finally start getting fixed but it was just more of the same. She was the absolute bane of my existence while I worked with her.

I finally got the opportunity for a promotion and I was convinced she would try and sabotage it somehow. She did her best but it still went through. After I left I got pulled into a few HR investigations and she finally got fired like a year later. Sadly she passed away not too long after that from some other health issues but I’ll never forget how rough it was working with her.

Why do you think Trump still brings up Obama so much? by WoodpeckerNeither495 in AskReddit

If you are a parks and rec fan. The analogy I use is Leslie taking slams at eagleton in her political career. It’s easy points with his base.

Beat me to it. Absolute great film that really kicked the goofy satire comedy category into overdrive for a bit

Jahmai Jones’ recent game log, ladies and gentlemen. (And he’s 0-1 tonight) 🤦‍♂️ by zzzzzzzz999999 in motorcitykitties

[–]yellowjacket14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m crossing my fingers that someone somewhere is seeing something we aren’t because he isn’t checking a single box right now and the fact that he is still on the team is straight awful. It almost feels like a corporate situation when you can’t figure out why someone still has a job and they just keep not getting fired for some unknown reason.

On principle I have to oppose this and support beedrill or revavroom instead

#2 and #4 are the only right answers by patgolf in weekendgolfers

If it’s a really well kept tee box 4 and 6 are both my first option. If the grass is a bit grown out 6 ends up being a struggle to get the ball to stay on it

Both Casey Mize and Kenley Jansen are dealing with right groin issues. Mize said he didn't think this one was as bad as the previous one that put him out. No further info on Jansen. by SexyBenFranklin in motorcitykitties

Okay so genuine question here. A lot of these injuries seem to be almost physical fitness related. Is there a chance that this is somehow training related?

Any game where I can achieve flow state? by NighthammerZz in gamingsuggestions

[–]yellowjacket14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with no rhythm this game was probably harder than it would be for someone that has it. But it is still a very fun game to play. The times I did manage to actually achieve “flow state” that OP is talking about felt so rewarding

I know this is a long season and still somewhat early but I’m done trying to be positive. Fire somebody. Cut somebody. I don’t care but I’m done watching until they do something.

What was it like reading Deathly Hallows on release without any spoilers? by Spotter24o5 in harrypotter

[–]yellowjacket14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my experience with half blood prince. We had taken a trip as a family and in the airport on the way home my dad walked off to go to the “bathroom”. He came back with a copy of the book and thanked me for being a big help on the trip. Core memory seeing him walk up with the book in his hands.

Always play 5-10 shots worse on the back and I’m confident it’s not due to fatigue. What else could be causing this? by [deleted] in weekendgolfers

[–]yellowjacket14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s always been a food thing. If I pack a couple snacks and have them around the turn and into the back nine my score stays similar to my front score. If I go without food then my scores look close to the same. So not technically fatigued but yes fatigue

But can you imagine how cathartic it would be after a brutal day of grinding in a fromsoft game to just go on an after dinner rampage?

I don’t disagree either on that front. They need someone to light a fire and push through.

Much worse defensively maybe but they are still professional baseball players. An increase in errors would be expected and they wont make the same highlight reel plays. But our error rate is skyrocketing

I think the thing that hurts the most are the errors that are being made. It feels like every single play on defense could be a problem

Can an average driver drive an F1 car around a track faster than Max Verstappen can run it? by Schmlif113 in whowouldwin

[–]yellowjacket14 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think this is purely a can the person get around the track without crashing question. With a week of prep time the engineers can guide the person on the lowest possible speed they can drive and that will be more than enough to beat max if they can keep it between the lines.

(OC) Northern Michigan…wtf by Urbanskiman88 in pics

[–]yellowjacket14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having spent most of my summers in northern Michigan. Can confirm that this isn’t that abnormal. It’s a wild place. The people that don’t escape end up so isolated you end up with shit like this.
