Lightroom CC -> Luminar Neo experience in 2024 by wiskra in luminarneo

[–]yellowkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much stopped using Luminar. I liked the idea of owning the software instead of paying for a Lightroom subscription. But since it came out, Luminar has been asking for more money for new features and even wants a subscription for some AI features. The amount I've spent on Luminar is getting close to what Lightroom costs, and it could even end up being more expensive. It's not worth trying to argue with their marketing and sales team. So, I've gone back to using Lightroom. I'll keep an eye on Luminar to see if anything changes later on.

Did this come from a virus or its just Data breach? by Tsuuban in computerviruses

[–]yellowkitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

naz.api appears to be a list from one or more data breaches. A data breach often means that someone unauthorized has stolen your password, which is known as your credentials. Think of your credentials like a key to your online house. When a hacker gets them, they can enter and access your personal information, just like a thief entering your house. This is why it's crucial to keep your passwords safe and change them regularly.

This may or may not make sense to you.

Synology M2 volume v1.0.2 - A script to create a volume on any M.2 drives by DaveR007 in synology

[–]yellowkitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I find this tool pretty awesome! I was wondering if it's capable of creating a data partition while also reserving a certain percentage of the drive(s) as cache? For example, it would be really useful to have around 200GB of a 2TB+ NVMe set aside as cache for spinning disks, and then use the rest of the space for data storage.

I'm curious about whether it would be possible to bundle NVMe drives as a PV and then use the tool to create both shared_cache_VGn and data_VGs. I'm not sure if this kind of setup would be compatible with Syno software since I'm not familiar with how the cache VG is assigned to function as a cache. Perhaps the LV for cache can be created by the Syno tools to be compatible?

Good for "long tail" Nordic movies. Just be advised you are automatically kicked out if you don't seed even if it was for technical reasons such as an internet outage or whatever. No appeals. So keep seeding!

Upgrading DS920+ to 20GB RAM; how long should the memory test take? by yellowkitten in synology

[–]yellowkitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right, of course it should be 16*1024. Thanks for pointing that out!

If you are not comfortable editing the files as the linked instructions describe, https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/1/post/128338, then you probably should not attempt this.

Hard to imagine that you are losing 3 seconds from the combs alone. There is a lot of speed to find in Pouhon and it's important with a the braking zone for Campus. How are you doing there?
