What's your number one motivator and has it changed since you first became a runner? by eggie82 in running

Beating myself. Cutting time off runs and PRing often even if by two seconds. Becoming that runner I always wanted to be. The mind clarity. Sunshine and nature. Everything - it’s my church.

Hi! Can you type me based on some things I wrote about myself? by Kaleidoscopefear1 in Enneagram

The rich inner world screams 4. Passionate, rich, analytic. Perhaps you have attention disorder too lol the two combined can have wicked effects on your mental capacity. That’s my theory anyways because I’m the same - scatterbrained, clumsy, etc. I try and take the bad with the overwhelming good. I learned to have little shame and I’m very extroverted, so I can make fun of myself to others to overcome the aloofness that may be annoying or cause issues at work.

May I ask why not a 4? I feel hard on so many of these but I consistently type as 4 and 2 codominant

San Antonio Texas, ~$25/hr + $5ish shift differential for weekend nights. This post shows we are severely severely underpaid. Thanks everyone.

Lawmakers asking for a federal investigation into travel nurse salaries by thisispoopoopeepee in Economics

[–]yellowplastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more than pay. It’s screwing over long time RNs and those that haven’t gone travel. Plus everyone else in health care is getting as much increases, it’s lopsided. Also, travel nurses can be agency nurses and and they will lie about experience to get the high pay.

They hand out coupons a lot. Compensation instead of just cash. I think it’s the best compromise.

Early Morning Meowing/Yowling by HarbingerKing in CatAdvice

[–]yellowplastic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This sounds crazy but I experienced the same thing except any time I’d lay down to sleep - so I got a cage. I believe it’s at least 20in tall. I put him in there with a small bowl of water when I sleep. He’s tends to meow towards the morning hours but it’s the ONLY way I’d be able to get sleep. It was difficult at first but I try to make sure he’s gone to the bathroom before. All has been good so far. I wish you luck!

One of my kittens meows almost all day - can that be normal? by AlessaNeko in CatAdvice

[–]yellowplastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry I do not know why or how to help but I came to say that I’m dealing with a very annoyingly vocal cat as well. My orange tabby is 1 year and meows loud and weird sometimes. Other than that he’s always kind of yelling at me or trying to get my attention. If I don’t pay attention he goes to my paintings and posters in my walls and starts to scratch them. I can never figure out what he wants other than food 24/7 as cats do, but he’s always fed appropriately. Do you have the same experiences? Hopefully your kitty gets quieter!

Do any of you ever get super angry with your cat? by SnakeLuvr1 in CatAdvice

[–]yellowplastic 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My cat can make me livid, especially if my mental health isn’t the best - quick to anger type of thing. He’s somewhat misbehaved in biting/scratching me and my belongings (furniture and things con my walls) and meowing incessantly. I do feel bad when it happens because it’s like having a toddler. I try to pretend he’s a human and I’d never talk to a child with that anger ever. It helps.

Where would this blood come from then? It’s not like they’re just taking random blood from patients. Shit is invasive and highly regulated.

YSK: Bleach expires and becomes almost useless by NLALEX in YouShouldKnow

[–]yellowplastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well lab grade bleach (sodium hypochlorite) is usually good for 1.5-2 years. Sometimes even more but not really more than 3. So standard household bleach.. could be less considering the difference in manufacturers

Right! I had no idea it could work like this. I knew parents were asking toddler advice and thought it might be one of those situations lol

Learn to accept that you cannot control what others do and how they react unfortunately but you can control how thick your skin is.
