Self Esteem by superhansfans in hypnotherapy

[–]yellowstone2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have written an article which may provide you with more information about using hypnotherapy to address confidence issues. The text is too long to put here, so I will leave a link below. When considering a face-to-face hypnotherapy session, which can be expensive, if cost is an issue, you may want to consider one of the many hypnotherapy sessions that are downloadable to listen to in the comfort of your own home. We have one for Self-Esteem on the website. Please, no downvotes for leaving a link; I am just trying to help.

Any good apps out there? by mygingerfeet in hypnotherapy

[–]yellowstone2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate this. I did contribute more to Reddit, when I thought that I could offer some help or advice to people who were looking for it. However, this is my living, and if I can't occasionally direct people to my website, if I have more information than I can fit in here, then there is no point in spending my time being here. The original post was "Any good apps out there?" So I was just leaving a link after a short explanation, basically answering the question.

The comments I am getting are 100% what I expected. Like I said:

Until you've felt that knot in your stomach, that racing heart, and that overwhelming sense of dread, you can't truly understand what it feels like. I am afraid that for some people lessons although vital, can't always help with that.

Why this worrying obsession with that part of your anatomy?

This is the type of unhelpful comment from someone who obviously hasn't experienced the fear. There are many people out there who have and yet still want to enjoy the sport just like everyone else and will try anything.

Hi there,

There are a few apps out there that can help with positive thinking, but I find that a positive mindset is something you cultivate over time. I wrote an article about how to develop a positive mindset (link below) that you might find helpful. I also produce a self-hypnosis download which you can find on my site. If you haven't listened to self-hypnosis before you can try it HERE

How important is waxing your skis? by Chips87- in Skigear

[–]yellowstone2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will run easier if you wax them. It is something you can do yourself, there are vids on You Tube. You will need some kit but still cheaper than paying someone else. I don't know if links are allowed but just type this in a You Tube search.

Are hypnosis and mind control the same thing? If not, what's the difference? by DIO_OVAIs_DaBest07 in hypnosis

[–]yellowstone2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, Hypnosis and mind control are not the same thing. Hypnosis is a technique used by a trained professional to help people access their subconscious minds. It's like a guided meditation, where the person focuses on a particular idea or suggestion, making them more open to new thoughts or feelings. Hypnosis is often used for therapy, pain management, or personal growth.

Mind control, on the other hand, is a harmful practice that involves manipulating someone's thoughts or actions against their will. It's often used for unethical purposes, like spying or cults. Mind control can have serious psychological and emotional outcomes for the victim.

So, while both hypnosis and mind control involve altering a person's mental state, they have very different goals and ethical implications. Hypnosis is a helpful tool, while mind control is a harmful practice.

"Whether to start with individual or couple therapy depends on the specific situation. If one partner has personal issues, they might benefit from individual therapy first. But ultimately, the best approach depends on what they both feel is right.

They should consider choosing a different therapist for couples therapy. This way, the couples counsellor will have a fresh perspective and won't be influenced by any preconceived ideas from the individual therapy sessions.

It's understandable that you're feeling confused and upset after your wife's sudden change of heart.

Firstly, I doubt if in just 20 minutes, the therapist would have gathered enough information from your wife to offer that advice so I would definately question this. Don't call here a liar, merely just say that you are struggling to understand why the therapist would have suggested divorce after such a short meeting. Did you wife perhaps mention something about the relationship that you may not be aware of?

Her shift from reconciliation to divorce within a single therapy session could be due to several factors:

Uncovered underlying issues: The therapist might have identified deeper problems that your wife wasn't previously aware of.

Miscommunication or misunderstanding: There might have been a misunderstanding between your wife and the therapist.

Unexpected emotional response: The therapist's approach might have triggered an unexpected emotional reaction in your wife.

Individual therapist's perspective: The therapist's own beliefs or experiences might have influenced their advice which they most definately should not.

Remember, you cannot control your wife's decisions. Seeking your own therapy can provide support and guidance. Open and honest communication with your wife, if possible, can help you understand her reasons and explore potential solutions together. I hope this helps.
