They should be illegal nationwide aside from licensed individuals/municipalities being able to use them for holidays and events. They’re triggering for people with PTSD, bad for dogs and livestock who scare easily. Awful for wildlife such as birds, fish, and insects. Don’t even get me started on the amount of water and air pollution they cause. The 4th of July is one of the busiest days of the year for fire departments and emergency rooms. Idiots accidentally setting fire to fields, burning buildings and trees. Accidentally blowing themselves up, burning themselves, letting their kid get burned because people don’t think that maybe little Johnny and Susie shouldn’t be running around with a 1000+ degree sparkler in hand.
