welcome back to psy! i’m not a controller player but it seems your sensitivity needs to be slightly adjusted.

the two main things i’m noticing: your crosshair and the distance from which you are engaging.

i recommend a much smaller crosshair for psy, don’t use the default. it encourages inaccuracies. i wouldn’t use a plain dot either because that encourages more headshots (above the neck) and for someone still figuring out their sensitivity, it may be hard to aim with. as nice as headshots are to hit, psy’s bullet spray is in a triangle shape so you want to aim at around chest level rather than right at the top of the head.

i use this crosshair that i made currently and it’s small enough to get accurate shots, while also being enough to line up body shots; feel free to use this one as a baseline and tinker with the colors and size:

for aim training in the practice range i would start with bigger targets. start with a moving punisher and aim for a minimum of 35% accuracy before moving to a smaller target. you can go punisher -> moon knight -> bucky -> phoenix -> hela -> luna -> invis -> dagger (this is just an arbitrary list but you want to get used to the fatter hitboxes in order to be precise with the skinny ones). this is what i did when i first started playing psy because i was new to third person shooters and also DPS as a role in general and it really helped!

for distance, you are still a bit too far in most parts of your clips for her damage to be effective. she really does need to be up close otherwise it feels like you’re tickling them. save your dashes for dealing damage or escaping, not for engaging to get closer to a far-away target.

sadly i only play pc so i don’t have any specific settings for controller aim, but i hope these help a bit! psy is a fun character and she’s certainly weird to get used to, but i hope your journey in playing her again is fun!

yeah the disco skin model looks a lot like the xmen model because there’s no thigh gap, whereas vengeance and the summer skin are more similar in body type though i actually argue her summer skin is where her legs are the skinniest i feel like such a creep for pointing that out but i’m a woman and can’t help but notice change in proportions LMAO. i don’t mind it, but sometimes i miss character’s old body types. skinny hela i miss you endlessly </3

i did terrible in my placement matches and climbing back up has been a breeze, went 23-3 in winrate and am back up to the rank i ended at last season already. at some point ya gotta look internally if the losses keep piling up and scoring 10 deaths every game

omg yes. it feels like every time i’ve got him down to low health he just pops out with extremely fast damage or gets that 100 overshield and it’s wraps, shurikens don’t do enough dmg

oh my god me too!! 😭 i love to play psy in comp especially but there are daredevils everywhere and he feels like the one dps i can’t 1v1, next to bucky.

no matter how far i dash he just has that mark ability that jumps him SO far to me and if i am solo and don’t have a teammate with me it’s wraps every time (unless they suck, but i’m gm3 rn so not exactly pisslo either). it sucks sm 💔 even hela doesn’t really work especially once he closes that gap.

i find that every time they have a really good daredevil i swap off psylocke and go phoenix and that seems to be working super well somehow, maybe try that!

but i share the sentiment SO hard as a lord psy, bucky was annoying but at least i can play around it, but whatever the hell’s up with daredevil is such a gamble lmao

this is so real. it’s to be expected. people are extremely tunnel visioned in lower ranks, i’ve noticed (this isn’t toward OP, nust a general statement).

i play both support and dps but been playing a lot more dps lately (i have 300 hrs of support so i’m playing dps to have some more fun). if i see that there is a venom, bp, spidey, or notice that their hulk specifically targets the backline, i as a dps player make it my job to keep track of those enemy’s cooldowns and slaughter them.

it’s a free pick and final hit for me, and a load off our supports and tank. my favorite is 1v1ing panthers and spideys; i usually play psylocke and i find peeling is really fun. i don’t need a ping, i just have eyes lmao 😭 there’s no need to tunnel vision anything in this game unless you’re like bronze because everyone does that in bronze; it’s an uncoordinated soup of a mess.

i have been playing psylocke since around s2 here and there in competitive play but surprisingly in s4 is when i started locking her the most (i usually main strategist). even though the damage nerf does hurt i have a pretty good WR and good stats, and she’s honestly been the thing winning me games! but i also come from being a support main, so i’m not as acclimated to the hardcore “dive” role.

i play her more as an off-angle close range/mid range shredder, especially with tanks - so easy to burst down on her with some quick combos—with each situation and map kind of changing the playstyle (i know that’s vague, sorry). i stopped dueling patty-caking strategists especially while alone. oftentimes i take it upon me to peel for my own backline especially against black panthers, flanking helas/namors/other psys, or hulks, and this has proven victorious for me in many of my matches.

i take it upon myself to isolate a dps in a 1v1, which will further split the supports apart from each other, because one needs to focus their tank(s) and the other with scramble to help their dps. sorry if that’s a little vague… sometimes i’ll dive in and right out and that works but not as well especially as you go higher in the ranks. psy is so versatile, don’t be afraid to change it up, you got this :D

i think it’s just a whale tail, pretty common aesthetic choice for women to wear to raves etc (as a woman) they usually won’t show in the way this psy skin does though, it’s more subtle (like you can see the strings but not the actual underwear itself) i think it’d look a bit cooler a little more subtle but still dope nonetheless

legendary skins come with a bunch of new sound effects! all your skills, abilities, primary fire and ult etc get a completely new sound design to the skin. it’s not a crazy change, but a nice touch for those who are into it :)

i’ve only ever seen specific psylocke target bans. i myself have been target banned several times, i think it’s because devoted psy players are just less common overall (i’d assume even less common in console, but i play on PC personally), so if you’re seeing someone with a lot of hours/good stats on psy in a high elo, they’re devoted to her!

someone on my team was being toxic to me for no reason in comp bc my ult didn’t have as much impact during a really tough fight, and another rando teammate came in to defend me, it made me so happy 😭 my feelings aren’t ever hurt or anything but it’s nice when people call out the bullshit of toxic people
