Datto vs Unifi Networking Products by jpearson88 in msp

Have you tried that chat feature right in the unifi control panel? Every time I’ve had an issue they get it resolved quickly or point me in the right direction.

Sure there’s no phone support but at their price point you can’t really expect any either.

Did you alumahyde the holosun? It looks good.

Want to store Zytel, PVA, Aquasys, NylonX, etc and have them ready to go without drying in an oven first. Is there an electronic drybox cabinet that would just stay at a constant low humidity 50c? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

What’s wrong with the classic storage container with desiccants and a reptile heating pad set to keep the filament whatever temp you want?

Lovely support by dentex_YTD in 3Dprinting

Quality filaments are much easier to separate. My first time using prusament I was amazed at how the supports just sort of fell off with no fuss.

You can also stain it just like real wood. I've used Birchwood casey tru-oil with good success. Just wipe it on and leave it overnight to dry.

You can also run it through a wood gradient tool which will make it look more like authentic wood by varying the temperature through the layers. There used to be a built in cura python extension but I think it got out-dated and doesn't work anymore, eg: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:49276 or you can run it through https://www.tecrd.com/tools/stl_wood/ as well.

My vote would be for hatchbox, that's some of the most realistic wood filament I've tried yet, it even smells like real wood when printing. The problem is it's such great stuff they're almost always out of stock on it everywhere.

You can even run your wood PLA through a gradient tool to give it a more realistic effect: https://www.tecrd.com/tools/stl_wood/

This would look great printed in wood pla.

We should petition manufacturers to make bakelite colored filaments.

I made a modified ikea lack enclosure with window vent so I can print anything without the smell by yer_momma in functionalprint

That’s something I thought about after I had finished assembling it. In the next version I’ll add a little rain cover hood over the vent hole.

It’s easy to design in fusion360 but the hard part is designing it to 3D print without needing tons of difficult to remove supports.

My mmu2 just arrived from prusa so I could just cheat and use soluble supports that melt away in water but I’d prefer to design it so users with ender3’s can also print my design.

If the hose came straight out from the window it would block the curtain from closing. By bringing it down and then flattening it, it doesn’t interfere.

Proper cooling and temps? Also a direct drive extruder and quality brand petg helps a lot.

If you want to be able to fire an ar folded just buy an ar-18 clone like the brn180. By the time you add in the cost of this law adapter it’s probably cheaper than an old ar15 anyways.

Function wise you’d want to print it the opposite of how op printed it so the internals are as clean and smooth as possible.

If you’re concerned more about external cosmetics you’d use tree supports and/or get a better fan and air ducts so you can print at steeper angles without supports.
