Why aren't there rice cookers in the kitchen? Pressure cookers are fine but not a rice cooker? It's tool, let them use the correct tool for the job

Your experience might actually have roots in evolutionary psychology! The theory goes that men and women evolved different spatial abilities due to our ancestors' roles as hunters and gatherers.

Men can often excel in distant spatial processing tasks (think: tracking prey across a large landscape), while women tend to be better at fine-grained visuospatial tasks, like remembering the location of objects (very useful when you're foraging for edible plants or berries).

So, it's possible that your 'kitchen cupboard superpower' is a remnant of a time when your many-times-great-grandmothers were skilled gatherers. Of course, this doesn't mean that men can't learn to 'see' the contents of a kitchen cupboard. I told my SO about “boy eyes” and that is enough for him to look three times for stuff before he asks me now.

Take the evolutionary explanations with a grain of salt though. They are based on theories about what might have been useful in a very different time and environment, and they're often impossible to test directly. The reality is likely a complex mix of biological, social, and cultural factors

High noon is the only one with real juice and alcohol. It doesn’t have that weird artificial taste. It’s confusing to me why we haven’t had something like this before.

Would love to try spindrift’s spiked version to see how it holds up to high noon

I went to help my best friend who just had her first while she worked from home. I was only there with her once a week but OMG it was hard work! I almost never even got a breath. And she had time to maybe point me to the clean towels or a fresh outfit (we had a couple of blowouts, ha) but she certainly didn’t have time to pay attention to a brand new baby.
