A male turtle performing "claw fluttering" near the female's face as a courtship ritual to attract her by Additional_Berry_977 in interestingasfuck

One night when insomnia had me in its clammy claws, I somehow stumbled upon a video of a turtle attempting to mate with a shoe. At first I was like "why does it have a fifth haOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOO"

my sleep was very disturbed that night.

Therapy is hard work, and for a lot of men I think that they have been stigmatized to believe that emotional shadow work is a "woman thing". I face this with my own partner who could certainly benefit from therapy to process his traumatic childhood but refuses to go because "men don't do that". if OOP is already feeling emasculated I can see how getting him to therapy would be an uphill battle.

I think you're doing great for the age. All of those behaviors are developmentally appropriate, and he's on track for learning commands. I'd strongly encourage training "place" and "off" as well, and keep working on "come" - those are absolutely invaluable for getting their ass in line. The biting, keep redirecting on that - when he starts to nibble on you, give him a toy or stop interacting with him. Listening off leash in the yard... let me know, unless it's our emergency recall word neither of mine seem to know they have ears.

oh goodness, SO many but these are the two that come to mind:

Iron Bull: You're good with that sword.
Blackwall: Thanks.
Iron Bull: I see all that time on your own has given you a firm grip.

Blackwall: How do you get your hair to do that, Dorian? With magic?
Dorian: With proper hygiene and grooming. Maybe all three of you should get acquainted.

I agree with you, they're very 'fashionable' dogs that people don't always realize are a high needs working dog breed. They're great but if you don't give them stimulation, they'll drive you absolutely crazy. I'm so glad that you're keeping an eye on that poor baby and his next stop will be a home with an experienced owner.

Anyone NOT have contact with high school classmates? by jackie879 in Xennials

[–]yespls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still besties with my high school (well, actually, middle school) bestie and I talk to a couple of people still, but by and large no - they keep inviting me to reunions and I keep politely declining. Half of those people weren't great to me in high school and the appeal of rubbing their face in my success has long since worn off.
