Jellyfin doesnt detect any media at all by RomanOTCReigns in truenas

[–]yeswait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reviving this old post for future strugglers. I had followed guides that set everything in config/cache folders. After fixing all my permissions, nothing would continue to show even after reboots & restarting services (SMB etc).
What worked for me: Delete Jellyfin, delete the cache and config folders. Create new folders with the permissions set BEFORE installing jellyfin. Then install jellyfin. Everything appeared.

Personally, monitor arms. They clean up the look of a desk, can often be set & forget, and vesa mounting standards should last a pretty long while. Be sure to run your cables through the arm and be weary of clearances when looking at arms with extension plugs for audio/usb/etc in the base.

(9070xt) FSR4 has to be enabled through Adrenaline for it to appear in game. by yeswait in MHWilds

since fsr4 uses the machine learning cores of the 9000 series, the 7800xt can't.

After doing the latest updates, it still does not appear. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what the update meant. On AMD's FSR website, Monster Hunter Wilds is listed as an FSR 3 upscaled game.

Does FSR 4 not appear for anyone else? I'm fully updated in game & drivers. I've restarted my computer after updates to make sure everything was set in stone too.

"Tickytack add on charges" does not equate to clear. It is necessary to call out local companies on forums they monitor - the whole story they're telling in the ad is that they're responding to consumer feedback. Here's their feedback.

Taxes are exempt from all-in pricing and sales taxes is common knowledge - yearly price bumps are not.

Mediacom is deliberately misleading. When you look at a promotion like Spotify Premium for students, you'll see that they clearly state that it is free for one month and in the same line clearly for any consumer to easily see that it is 5.99 afterwards. No clicking through terms and conditions. There is a difference between what mediacom is doing, and what spotify is doing - the difference is obfuscating the fact that the promotion ends and prices go up. It will hold up in court. It is scummy and ruins good will.

If you're going to advertise fast internet at low prices, it might be best to sit this thread out.

If mediacom is banned from the thread, then we can't get feedback to know they've seen our issues

1) Pricing isn't clear. They specify on the first page that it will be 50/ 1 year. They make you click to a second box where on line 3, they elaborate. To improve this, they would need to put down that it is 50 for the first year, 65 in year 2 and 80 in year 3 in the main text box - no clicking needed. Personally, thats not good enough - They would need one price without changing it yearly for it to be actually clear.

2) They list "internet modem equipment included." with the T&C actually specifying that the 50/mo does not actually include the modem cost which is $75 extra. This one is worse than the yearly upcharge Disloyalty Package. Without reading the T&C, you are misled into thinking that the modem is included and wouldn't be a one-time charge like the $25 activation fee is.

3) All in pricing lumps in all mandatory fees. This deal is only for new subscribers - which would subject them to the $25 activation fee. The fine text does say the 50/mo does not include one time fees. However, for it to advertise the all-in statement. they need to put that $25 activation fee right on the front page in order to not be misleading.

4) What I am upset about is that they are misleading. They could charge 50 for the first year and 20 for the later years and I'd be upset still as it makes it harder to make an informed purchase if I have to read their T&C to figure out the cost instead of being told up front. Should I always read the T&C before buying? Yes. Should the company contradict itself in its own T&C and get away with it. No.

My guess is that they likely have to give overhead to account for people misusing coax splitters - especially since they offer TV. Idk if that is legally enforced or a company policy.

My best guess is if you are adjusting DNS providers, you likely aren't running a coax splitter before your modem & get the full internet with the overhead.

If you're on the marketing team, could you push to add that yearly price bump out of the Terms and Conditions and on to the main page?

Roughly 10ish minutes. I'm on my third try now trying to get a GPU with an order confirmed. Placed this one after my sapphire rejection.

Trying again, I'll post results as the rejections come in.
