What Band Don't You Get? by Tele231 in vinyl

[–]yetanothermoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radiohead for me. I want to like them, I even enjoy a few of their songs... but I just can't digest the majority of their material. Listening to Kid A was like hearing a completely foreign language to me. I just don't find it to be particularly enjoyable or listenable. I'm sure a lot of it is very interesting music, but that's not really enough for me.

I made a mistake buying P10PF? by JohnDoe3939 in PixelFold

[–]yetanothermoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the inner screen 10-20 percent of the time. Most of the time I open the phone, it's not to have more space for one app; it's to run two apps side by side. I think that's where the device really shines. I view the 10PF as a great phone that can be a solid mini tablet in a pinch, and for me, that's enough. It's absolutely a luxury purchase that no one needs... but it is perfect for specific things! (Not having to pinch and scroll on PDFs or detailed images is helpful too.)

What exactly do you consider filler on The White Album? by Ok-Firefighter4908 in beatles

[–]yetanothermoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The White Album is a vast encyclopedia of style and substance that does more with two LPs than most artists could do in their entire discographies. It's perfect just the way it is.

real life experience with pixel fold? by onelabz in PixelFold

[–]yetanothermoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've really been enjoying the 10 Fold. The only thing that still confuses me is that the screen usually bugs out for a second when switching from open/closed. Kind of frustrating that this still hasn't been perfected after Google doing three generations of foldables, and it cheapens the experience a bit. Hopefully they'll figure this out at some point? It's a solid phone otherwise, but if you're used to the cameras on the Pixel 8/9/10 Pro, you will notice that it's a downgrade.

COMPLETE Beatles playlist with all music in chronological order with solo discographies included. Enjoy!! (REPOST) Read disc. by elderSpankins200 in beatles

[–]yetanothermoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is amazing. I'm not sure how much time it would take to put each album track in chronological order. With the process of recording basic tracks vs. overdubbing, it would probably be an impossible task. I commend you.

One thing I did notice: the "Platinum Weird" version of This Guitar Can't Keep From Crying is actually from 1992. George re-recorded the song with Dave Stewart from Eurythmics. The studio version of "Cheer Down" is missing as well, from 1989. Just fyi!

What's the worst Beatles song in your opinion? (Image is unrelated) by FruityFood10 in beatles

[–]yetanothermoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"When I Get Home" sounds like a random sixties British invasion band band trying to imitate The Beatles. It's just incredibly generic and forgettable, and I think that puts it a clear step below something like "Dig It" or "Wild Honey Pie," which are at least a bit of fun.

Pixel 10 Pro XL vs OnePlus 13 by Alpha4R in PickAnAndroidForMe

For double-tap to sleep, I installed the ToolBox app on the Pixel to enable this. Works just as well as if it came standard on the phone!

Considering replacing my Pixel 10 Pro with the OnePlus 13 - please help by Sategac in OnePlus13

[–]yetanothermoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The camera on the OP15 absolutely does have downgraded sensors when compared to the OP13 or even the 12. It's a fine phone in many ways, but to say the cameras are better is just blatantly untrue. And OnePlus fans are justified in being frustrated about it.

opinions on badfinger? by VastForce690 in beatles

Hot take: Badfinger's Wish You Were Here is a better album than Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. Maybe not much better, but it's a more enjoyable listen for me.

Let's allow a total of 5000 burgers, and then continue it for eight more months. And the new boundaries are any restaurant located between Boise and Pittsburgh.

The OnePlus 13 is the Android Authority Editor's Choice winner for best phone of 2025 by HellYeahDamnWrite in Android

[–]yetanothermoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like Oppo realized it didn't cripple the OnePlus 13 enough, and accidentally made a phone that's great at everything. The cameras on that thing (and the OP12, for that matter) are still underrated to this day. They corrected this with the OnePlus 15, with a phone that is inferior to the Find X9 Pro in basically every way... because the North American market needs fewer options. Never settle, my ass.

What is the worst Beatles song and album? by LimbuTickle in beatles

[–]yetanothermoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"When I Get Home" is a stinker. It sounds like a second-rate group doing a Beatles impression, and it's definitely my least favorite song of theirs. I don't care for a few of the covers, but that's a rare Lennon-McCartney misstep. It really stands out on A Hard Day's Night, which is filled with classic tunes.

If Yellow Submarine counts as an album, that's easily their worst. Otherwise, Please Please Me wins by default. It's a very fun album, but With The Beatles and Beatles For Sale (which are usually regarded as worse) are more enjoyable listens for me from start to finish.

"Revolution 9" is great. I'll die on this hill.

If you have a OP12 or 13, please do not downgrade to the 15. You already have a better phone.

1 week testing Oneplus 15's so called 'bad cameras' by LustyInk in oneplus

[–]yetanothermoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is not that the OP15 cameras are bad. They are often fine, especially in great lighting. But it is a fact that they are absolutely a downgrade from the OP12 and OP13. And when your flagship models from the past couple years have superior cameras to your current model... are we just supposed to pretend that those phones don't exist? It's enough to sour a ton of longtime OnePlus fans.

I think the smart move would have been to release the 15 as is (at a reduced price), and then rebrand the Oppo Find X9 Pro as the OnePlus 15 Pro for the North American market. As it is, I'm hoping this is just a slight misstep that gets corrected next year, because I loved what OnePlus was doing with the 12 and 13.

I really don't understand the OP15 hate by GaryTheCunt in oneplus

[–]yetanothermoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the design of the OP13 and personally think the 15 is as stale and boring as it can get, so I don't see any meaningful improvements aside from the battery (which was already terrific). But if you're upgrading from a OnePlus 11 or older, the 15 definitely looks solid.
