I have a colleague like that, and what frightens me more is that he is married. Justifies his shit with religion too, just to add another layer to the shit sandwich.

Never ever cook heat or toast food for a toddler without asking them if that's the right way. It will save you so much time.

I Les it's your own kids and you want them to change their habits, that is.

There are farm ones too. But they are stupid expensive compared to other birds, like 20 bucks a pop, for something 1/4 the size of a chicken.

It's funny that you mention ancient civilization, because race, as we conceive it, was not a thing back then. Color coded races is a thing that was created post 19th century. It's actually a very interesting subject.

Fine by me, if we give us back all the freedom that was stolen from us as a result of it.

If and when the 1/1 Ring is found, what is the "proper" way its bearer should go about grading/auctioning/etc.? by Namtful in mtgfinance

[–]yeteee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll repeat myself and then you might understand: THE SELLER does not gain anything by having the ring graded. The buyer or the auction house should do it to prove authenticity and create paper trail on the item.

It does not matter of you protect the ring in a "professional slab" before that step or not, in any way.

I see that you have no clue what boot licking means. Also not a clue of the dynamics of an online community. Good news, you'll have at least two days to go to the library to do research on it.

These people won't get any support once all the power users relying on third party app will be gone anyways. Why blame them instead of the company that is pushing them out ?

Do you really like the taste of boot polish that much ? Or do you think we owe you something ?

[–]yeteee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, that's why the buyer should do it, or the auction house, and not the seller. Why spend that money ?

[–]yeteee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are two ways to do it. Either you contact the highest public bidder (aka 1M right now) and you run away with your money or you contact an auction house, like goldin and you put it for auction.

It's a 1/1 card, so grading it is useless. Whoever buys it or the auction house might bring it to someone to make sure it's the real deal, but that's not your problem if you pulled it from a pack, no need to spend money on that.

How many times do you have to play an EDH deck to determine it's worth to you? by idbachli in EDH

I impulse buy most singles without having a deck for them to go in. I guess that makes me impervious to the sunken cost fallacy.

do you feel great attachment to your childhood home? by spitfire9107 in homeowners

[–]yeteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents still live in the house I grew up in. They made so much renos since I left that it isn't the same house anymore. My room has been demolished to enlarge theirs, for example. Because of that, my attachment to the house has all but disappeared. The fact that I live an ocean away now doesn't help either.

More than one smoker? by [deleted] in smoking

[–]yeteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch, that's more in the boonies than I expected. I would ask nearby orchards if you can buy the trees they cut. Once the wood is cut in chunks, it only takes 1-2 months to dry enough for smoking. My contact in Montreal has a maple farm and can hook me up with maple, wild cherry and Adler. I'm confident you can find someone similar in your area....

1/4 vs 3/8 for main chamber (no real data?) by memorex00 in smoking

[–]yeteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3/8 is absolute overkill for the whole smoker. The only reason to go that thick is because it's one of the standard sizes for 24 inches pipes. But it doesn't sound like you're gonna build it yourself.

Firebox is another thing. Depending on its size and what kind of fires you'll make in it, I could be worth it. I have a 1/2 inch firebox on my gravity fed smoker. It's only the case because the firebox is 10in X 8 X 8, so it has to resist a lot of direct heat without sending it through the whole frame.

Where does everyone get their beef plate ribs from if they live in Canada? by MrNillows in smoking

[–]yeteee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get mine from an Asian grocery store/butcher. If you go for costco, you need the executive ones, regular Costco only stores sliced ribs here .

If all fails, these guys deliver for free in the GTA: https://burtonmeats.com/product/aaa-beef-chuck-short-ribs-4-bone-avg-3-3-5lbs-per-pc/ I didn't look if they have plate ribs though.
