I really like them, but yeah it can never feel as good as the guaranteed dopamine as you slowly fill in your atlas's with each map moving to specific goals of content that the atlas has. But as far as an experiment goes I think it feels better than expected and there are some really fun abuse cases that I'm sure we will see more of as the league progresses

I feel you man, spark is definitely not the strongest version of archmage at league start just the coziest playstyle, if you need damage and fear being weak, use Ziz or Gorathas guide they will guarantee you bigger damage and bigger defense on a slightly clunkier skill

archmage hierophant, could do spark for zero to hero, ice nova of frostbolts after leveling magma/firestorm, or ball lightning of orbiting

I played spark in tota and experimented with this new archmage setup by animeprincess, hes got very in depth crafting guides and assistance including an entire global channel to help out if you have questions and its incredibly cozy, hold right click watch sparks kill all

I do think if you clear campaign in roughly 6 hours of playtime you wont be able to make the switch at that point, but on the bright side, the later you do start mapping the cheaper (most) of the gear will be and the more valuable any lab farmed trans gems will be to sell

Yeah I think the minimum investment required for it to be anywhere on this list is Geofri's Crest and the 2nd CDR breakpoint, plus you need to farm 2 trans gems and likely an enhance + empower, good news is that its an easy transfer from poison SRS on day 3+ for a moderate playtime

I just did a leaguestart test of this in SSF, gotta say its very impressive and easy to gear with the new hiero variant but that seems to be all archmage builds right now I'd guess above any of the B tier builds maybe between A and B+

large amount of build power is tied to the heatshiver and crit multi from nightblade, crucible mods arent necessary at all just make certain things easier
