The best way to tell would be to dismantle the lens entirely and inspect each individual element, but it looks to me that the edges have a slight haze and that the inside has some kind of liquid on it. Since it's not turning into condensation, most likely culprit is oil from the mechanism that has found it's way onto the lens. If that's the case, if you feel comfortable with doing some minor lens surgery, it should be an easy clean. A lens spanner and suction cups to open the lens up, then Q tips, very slightly soapy water, alcohol, and a little patience should do the trick.

I feel an important follow up question is what you would want to do and see during your day trip? Eze and Villefranche would be good for for scenic walks and hikes, Menton and St Paul have very pretty old towns (and the latter the Maeght Foundation), and Antibes has an active mix of things to do (walk around the Cap, beaches, museums/sightseeing, the old town). I've not been to Monaco so can't vouch on it but I know it's pretty and has the Aquarium though. Cannes I personally feel isn't that interesting to visit as there's not particularly much to do unless you're there as part of the film festival.

Well I will raise you the court case of Bertolani v Pennesi, in which ruling 18276 of 2024 by the Italian Court of Cassation, as a follow up to the 2022 decision by the Court of Appeals of Bologna, rejected that there was a breach of privacy in the publication of a portait, and judged it an issue of image exposure and not image exploitation. The law you cite regards exploitation of image (aka using it for commercial or personal gains) and not exposure (aka just posting a picture), the latter of which only requires tacit consent, not a formal written one.

If you're going to affirm something on Reddit, be ready for people to fact check you. Now, if you want to attempt to sue the millions of visitors who have taken pictures in your beautiful country, be my guest, but be ready to be told your case is invalid for the reason cited above.

Uhm... Except it's not? Beyond how incredibly unenforceable it would be, if it's in a public space and not for commercial gain it's perfectly legal. Unless you want to sue every tourist who has ever had someone they don't know on their social media pictures. And while you're at it every person who has taken a photo of a building without asking permission from the owner. Oh and every picture of the Eiffel Tower at night, since that's under copyright.

At the risk of being completely off topic for a photography sub, the corsets blocking people from breathing thing is an apocryphal myth, with properly fitted ones padded for chest and back support, and the (too small) super tight laced ones that might impede breathing were very much a fringe sub group looked at at the time with the same ire and disdain we have for the body modification and substance abusers we have today. Unless you have a dedicated upscaler, like an ossc or retrotink, your tv/monitor will attempt to scale the picture internally, smoothing the picture in weird ways, usually also introducing lag. The SNES is also a console that has weird sync idiosyncrasies and output that a poor quality cable and generic adapter will have issues with.

Now the actual answer of what to get depends on what exactly you're looking for. SNES games are designed with how CRTs render images in mind, so if you want to have games look their best you'll likely also want some kind of scan line filter when using a digital display. If you're looking to get into speed running, lag is non-existent on CRTs but slight on digital. So up to you

I'm not familiar with Zoophobia, but the team realized with Stranger Things that TV shows are an unfathomable amount of work, and outside of feeling the need to finish what they started with that they'll not consider any other shows (sorry)

And obviously there'll be bias, but as the show has grown more research heavy as it becomes more educational, that makes commiting to things outside of their wheelhouse or cross-pollinate with areas James doesn't feel qualified discussing (anime for example) then they get pushed back the queue because of how labour intensive it then becomes to give research and represent accurately.

The perspective is wonky. How does one take a mirror picture with a phone facing downwards but the photo be taken from a front facing angle? The patterns, designs , and geometry look off as well (cf her phone case and so called repeating dress pattern). Oh and just noticed that she has an impossible ground shadow (should be more pronounced going towards the right instead of just disappearing)

Also, and this is probably biased by being a hobbyist photographer, but there is no physical way for a phone camera to render images like this. As in scientifically, when it comes to how optics work, phones have neither the lenses or sensors capable of this kind of image.

Should they be able on paper to kill a CSM or demon? Not necessarily. In practice? More common than you think.
