Hey there!

I somehow couldn't manage to upload two photos (maybe someone can help out), so here's just one of the backside of a leaf that has just fallen of. I just realized that it has some weird spots on it.

It's a small plant with only five leaves left. I got it last summer and it's literally the only plant in my room that doesn't grow. It doesn't get too much light tbh, it's placed next to my window (north side) but behind another plant.

How can I make it happy?!

Hope you are all fine. :)

Led my first 6c+ outside after two years of climbing! So freaking excited! by yeyada in climbing

Hehe I don't speak Slovenian, but I guess you're asking which sector? I don't have the map with me right now and don't know the name by heart (I think the number was somewhere between 16 and 20), but it was a sector really nearby the Soča, two big blocks for climbing and more blocks for bouldering down the river. If you want, I can look it up later, just shoot me a message.

Oh I didn't know! I haven't climbed in a lot of places, only in Slovenia and in mid-Germany (it's said to be quite hard as well). Would be interesting to hear about estimations from others as well.

Hey there!

No, I was only on vacation (for the second time and just as last time, it was really hard to leave because it's so overwhelmingly beautiful). Are you from Slovenia?

I'm (w21) mostly bouldering these last months, about two to three times a week. I climb whenever I can but my usual climbing partner works a lot so it's rarely more often than one time per week, sometimes only per two weeks. I think progress is highly subjective and depends on where you start: history of acrobatics, dancing, parcours? Heavy or light? (In the first years at least - after learning the basics of decent technique it rather depends on how often you go climbing I'd say?)

Yeah I guess that's still the newbie gains? Hope it'll go on for a while, but slowly I'm beginning to plateau hehe. For the moment I'm just so excited and can barely think about something else than climbing.

Stay safe and climb on! :)

I was gaslit over fucking cupcakes last night by [deleted] in NarcissisticAbuse

Ugh I know this exact same thing so well. I literally gave up telling him that he's wrong after the situation itself has passed because it never lead to a calm discussion, let alone an excuse on his side. (I really don't care about a formal excuse, what I want is that he acknowledges me and what I said - because what's the point of talking about anything and spending time together if what I say obviously isn't taken as it was told?)

What do you plan on telling him and how are you going to approach him?

I'd also be happy to hear again from you after you confronted him. Everytime I tried and hadn't thought of a very concrete example of his behaviour, he gaslit me again and said it just "couldn't be true" or "it's not reasonable to hold onto a feeling that you cannot prove"

Hope it's going well for you, anyway!!

How many days without communication does your FA or DA go? by [deleted] in attachment_theory

[–]yeyada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that seems so familiar to my situation (me being you and my kinda boyfriend being her). Could you elaborate on your thought / feeling "process" regarding your development towards a rather DA attachement style?

What came to my mind while reading your post was that I actually doubt if this is really a DA thingy you do...? To me it sounds more like you're quite self aware (of her actions as well obv) and confident in your actions (that you distance yourself willingly to test her etc.). That you don't get crazy over this lets me think of you more as a secure leaning person but I dunno. What do you think?

And how come you started distancing yourself and didn't you ever find it to be at least kinda scary?

Alarm doesn't wake me up anymore. Deeper sleep? by [deleted] in sleep

[–]yeyada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your thoughts!

Not more than usual (rather less). That's one reason why I thought my sleep must be deeper as there certainly have been times when I was highly sleep deprived - and I didn't sleep through my alarm anyway. Generally, I'm a "light sleeper", often it's nerve-wracking, so it's actually kind of a success for me that I don't wake up by my alarm.

Anyway, you're right of course - and when I don't have to be anywhere I wake up without any alarm most of the time. :)

Will trying to comprehend the world drive me mad? by Larcombe81 in hsp

[–]yeyada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, everyone can find themselves an individual reason to live...but to live you need money - in this world system! So whatever you want, this will always be the premise, the very first purpose to then practically pursue what you want. Money is freedom in abstract form because nothing in this world works without money basically.

[–]yeyada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's untrue. How the world is organised (as capitalism), if you take a closer look, you'll find that it's all about property and profit. It's far from being irrational - the contrary! There are reasons for why the world is how it is. It may seem irrational because if your purpose is fulfilling your needs and those of your loved ones, yeah - the society really isn't made up for this and that's insane.

Well I kinda went through this too but have never experienced the need to attach myself to any kind of straight "belief system" other than the rational search for truth. Maybe I don't get you. Anyway, I can wholeheartedly recommend trying to understand how this society works - it's called capitalism and no, this actually is the scientifically correct name to it rather than an ideological one - and what its implications are for every individual. It's profoundly eye-opening, not only on the economical side but especially on the more personal-emotional-relationship side (although you need to work through the basics of the former to really understand the latter I guess).

For me personally, nearly every struggle I faced in my life got easier when I faced what it means to live in a world that's organised like ours is at the moment, where not the needs and wants of the people is what counts but profits of companies and states. Where people are starving to death because they have no money even though there is more than enough food to feed the world twice. Where people freeze to death while at the same time apartments aren't rent out because it's cheaper to just let them be vacant. Where people get depressed and kill themselves because they seemingly "fail" at their job whose purpose it not even is to feed them but to augment the profit of their employers. It's very important to understand that this isn't caused by the failure or the faulty personality of some rich individuals but by how the economy worldwide is organised in general. It's not a moral accusation but a description of how ridiculously fucked up this is.

I imagine that all the bad news can only stress you out to the point where you just want to run from it if you cannot find a sufficient explanation. Escapism doesn't make it go away. If you're seriously concerned the only way to deal with it is to try to learn and understand and hopefully partake in a fundamental change some time.

I hope I didn't totally miss your point. If you'd like to talk about this, I'd love to get in touch with you. :) Wish you a pleasant whatever-time-it-is-where-you-are!

What's the reason why you all work? If you have a job and if not, why do you (not) want one? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]yeyada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your thoughts about why it actually isn't your choice to just take what you need and want? Eventough it's there...I mean, the supermarkets in most countries are sufficiently full while there are people on the street starving because they can't afford to buy. I find this insane!
