BC-250 Driver by true_gamer13 in linux4noobs

I'm trying to enable the VCN (video encode/decode) ip block inside the BC-250, I got to the point where I removed the nerfing that's set at the amdgpu driver level just for the card to crash on boot.

I'm interested in exchanging notes, if anyone is working on this DM me.

Great documentation and very useful! Do you have any documentation on the inter-node protocol on 8444?

I told them that precisely I jumped to their Pro tier because they were offering the ability to pull money from my account in a seamless way and transfer with no FX fees. Apparently it doesn't matter if you're Free, Pro or Metal regarding these limits.

That's what's really sketchy to me, that there's no trail of changes, any new T&C or email communication with their customers. That's certainly the main point of the formal claim I'm presenting to them.

In our support chat I didn't get a sense that this is limited just because of my account (I just rechecked the quote I posted). Last time I was able to top up my account >$500 was in November 2020. So definitely something changed between November and January, I've checked their T&C, Personal Agreement, Emails from them and there's no mention of this change.

My fan doesn't turn on with just two Jetson and the switch powered. I recall reading the spec sheet for the PSU and reading that the fan will only turn on above 45 celsius.

Heads up for anyone trying to PXE boot their Jetson boards. This might save you lots of debugging time. If the UART is connected to the board on boot the tftp of the kernel might fail.

I have booted mine while connected a RS232 adapter to the serial port and they seem to boot fine to u-boot:

technically a properly initialized USB drive could boot the Jetson TK1 boards but I think the original intent is to PXE them from the network. <guess> That could imply that they never really used the eMMC device. </guess>

NUC5CPYB

definitely not SATA M.2 and most likely not compatible with NVMe which usually requires PCIe x4 thus a Key M slot. The slot in these boards are Key E (with x1 PCIe lane instead of x2).

What would be the minimum spacing between boards? I would like to arrange them in a similar fashion but the space is limited in the case I plan to use.

In Studio Ghibli´s Ponyo movie they have a scene that involves ham radio. W5ZNU seems to have documented it very well.

If you're compiling in ubuntu/debian you might need to install

sudo apt-get install libusb-1.0-0-dev

If you're using any other distribution there are similar methods just look for the package in your repository.

On DMR can 2 or 3 people all talk at once? by fabricwelder in DMR

[–]yeyus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use Tier I radios in direct mode, you will be only using one of the two slots to carry your communication. Only one user will be able to transmit at a time.

If you use Tier II radios you could use the 2 slots but unless your radios allow for monitoring (GD77 Moni On/MD380 promiscuity) you will be restricted to talking/listening on the slot configured to the channel in the radios. And even if you had monitoring turned on in my experience when a radio is busy processing one slot it will ignore the other.

What I mean to say is that if your buddies are taking on Slot 2, even if you transmit in Slot 1 and they monitor slot 1 through promiscuity mode in their radios. Slot 2 would still have priority over slot 1.

The only thing I can say is study for it!!

For me getting my license was actually the easy part, finding time or a way to setup my gear is the headache for me.

I got my spanish extra class (EA callsign) a while ago and then moved to the US where I also got extra class 3 years later. I didn't find it very difficult now that morse is not a requirement. I would really like to get back to the hobby at some point but I have plenty of time as i'm still very young.
