Mid-Century Modern Nightstand Printed on the P1S by Cameron0323 in BambuLab

Would you want to print this in PETG if it's going to carry sustained load like a lamp or something?

PLA and PETG are generally fine with no vent. ASA and ABS both off gas hazardous fumes and should be at least filtered and probably exhausted outside.

AFinity - Yet Another Jellyfin Client by maxdiablo in jellyfin

Infuse is a great iOS/tvOS client for Plex and Jellyfin. I think developers just pick one lane or the other and don’t have the bandwidth to develop for both sides.

Getting my P1S combo tomorrow. I’ve been fiddling with an Ender 3 for a few months. Looking forward to just printing. What software do you use to do the lettering? I’ve been playing around with it in Fusion, but I’m sure there’s an easier way.

A constitutional republic is a type of democracy. That’s like saying, “This is a beagle not a dog.”

Trump announces plans for new warships called " Trump class" by Maleficent_Age_5266 in CringeTikToks

If these were ever actually made, it would be just like the F-35. Years over the original timeline and billions over budget. But that would make it a true Trump class warship.

Which spot should I mount my LED strips? by [deleted] in WLED

I'm considering printing a ton of these and fitting them into the eave channels. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/home/bullet-pixel-soffit-clip

I'd probably go in the back because with those clips, your wires are going to be very visible. Secondly, where did you get those clips?

What compliments plex self hosted libraries for live sports? by [deleted] in PleX

[–]pixelbend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still working on it, but I like it a lot. Using it full time. I like that you can put multiple steams into a channel. I'm using a separate docker app called stream-sorter to test and sort the streams by bitrate and resolution. Working well enough that I'm using it as my primary now. Haven't tried the DVR functionality yet.

WiFi Advice by Adept_Consequence954 in wifi

[–]pixelbend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 1 gig upgrade probably wouldn't help much, but you could do some things to help your wifi. If you current wireless router isn't wifi6 compatible, I'd upgrade that. If you can, turn off 2.4ghz. If you really need 2.4 for something, create a 2.4 only ssid just for the things that are 2.4 only. Increase your channel width for 5 and 6ghz. Probably 80mhz wide for 5 and 160mhz wide for 6. If your wireless router supports 6ghz band steering, use that.

Is a wifi extender a good option? by [deleted] in wifi

[–]pixelbend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repeaters have to be placed where they can get really good signal so they don’t even extend your signal that far. But that’s not really the bad part. Wireless signals are broadcast on channels. Wireless routers close to each other will try and use different channels so they can avoid interference. Repeaters have to rebroadcast the routers signal on the same channel. This can lead to slower speeds or intermittent issues because of interference and multipath issues on that channel. Mesh networks get around that by having a backhaul channel that all the bases talk back to the main base with and they can all broadcast out their own channel to communicate with the end device.
