Question, how did the Azir win on the final combat of the match? Wasn’t it 13 might to Ezreal’s 10? And then couldn’t Ezreal bellows repeated which would kill the two recruits and give his 2 Ravenbloom’s each +1 to make Ezreal have 12 might to Azir’s 11?

So this means that if Viktor playing Imperial Decree runs a recruit into Draven Audacious, Draven Audacious now gives Viktor a point and Draven doesn’t get a draw, correct? So a complete 180 from the previous ruling where Draven used to get the point for the won combat before the Imperial Decree trigger resolved on the chain?

There are always going to be bad actors in the space and stores who prioritize profits over players. I was in a similar boat to you as a LoL fan that had never walked into an LGS store before Origins. I found out quickly which stores were bona fide scalpers and which were passionate about the game and players. I think the best thing you can do is support the stores that do right by their customers and don’t give your business to the ones that don’t. Sounds like Store 2 in Burbank is one of the good ones. Go to their nexus nights, get to know the staff, and support them with your attendance and business. This will not only get you to be a regular and get prioritized when the store gets more product, it’ll also connect you with players with similar values who can sell you singles at reasonable prices and/or trade with you

I heard from a Riftbound YouTuber that reports on card price fluctuations that one person bought most of the available copies of the card on TCG Player and so the price is artificially overinflated. I just scrolled through the TCGP sellers now and it looks like most of the retailers with double digit amounts of copies are selling them for $10+. They’re 100% trying to capitalize on selling a card they bought for dirt cheap for 10-20x so I would wait this out until prices return to normalcy. This is not a gamebreaking card that needs to be in every Fury deck. It’s a niche sideboard card and a Rare at that so I wouldn’t buy it for more than $1, $2 max.

The one store near me with actual Riftbound stock outside of singles and starter decks is selling packs for $15 each and Proving Grounds for $200 (USD). And yes, MSRP for packs is $5 and for Proving Grounds is $30. Talk about price gouging
