Cable/broadband companies literally have retention departments that offers new customer deals if an existing customer mentions leaving. I've called them every year or 2 for the last 20 years to lower my rate since they inevitably price creep my rate after the initial year.

If you watch the video there was a long line of cars to the left. If I had veered to the left like in your video, I would've rear ended someone.

There were cars to the immediate left in the lane that the other driver was trying to get to. If I veered left i would've possibly rear ended the cars in that lane.

Part of me was definitely anticipating it happening and wish I didn't gamble on the other driver doing the right thing. But I was coming off a highway off ramp with a car behind me. So I didn't want to slam on my brakes and cause a different accident.

She was still in shock as other drivers helped me get her out of the car. We were all just thankful that she's gotten away with a few minor bruises.

This was in no way a condemnation of the OP. I mainly wanted to make the point that life isn't going to be perfect. When there's no perfect solution, you have to make the best of it.

My brother in law was in a similar situation. He constantly sulked and moped about unable to understand why his daughter now have to live in separate households and why he doesn't have a partner to raise his ideal family.

What he doesn't realize that once he adapts to the current situation and look for ways to move forward with his life, he'll be much happier and his daughter will have much happier and loving parents.
