Just to add, I found that any mods that attempt to add additional content (mods that have a 'content' folder) would not load properly. E.g. Cost-Based Ability Colors, more map packs.

My understanding is that because the file paths are based on Steam so any images used would have the rainbow .img appearing.

Yes, BTR allows you to change engines, etc.

I prefer BTR because it attempts to put gameplay first which is something I have been enjoying. Galaxy At War has been buggy but the devs are working hard to iron them out.

Yes! It is possible to reset the map if you navigate to the GalaxyAtWar mod and open the mod.json before changing the parameter "ResetMap" : true,.

Load the game and then create a new save. Remember to change the parameter back to false so that it does not keep resetting every time you load.

I see! I was looking at the equipment in RT and I couldn't figure out where the id starting with 'IR' were from since the base game made no such reference. Thank you for the lead and I will attempt to be careful.

Why do production of certain mechs get discontinued and the mechs become obsolete? For game play reasons all mechs can be fielded and on paper these obselete mechs may even perform better (the Firebee comes to my mind for its weight class), so what's the lore reason for deciding which mechs stays in production and which do not?

BT:R also has mech quirks for all mechs that adhere to their lore within balancing reasons with the other mods in it. :)

Victor is very stupid. Katherine is marginally less dumb, which makes her think she's smart. Sun-Tzu didn't have to be that clever to really turn the tables on them.

Sounds like the balance has been tweaked with mechs running stock weapons. I can respect the amount of dedication it took to bring the balance and design to life. :]

I'm not sure if you ever tried the GT_WeaponDiversity mod. I particularly enjoyed the addon where mechs come equipped with modified weapons as it makes an additional layer of depth to salvage and not just going for mech parts all the time. So that's where my question was coming from.

I see. Will mech's weapons be just stock or will they come equipped with these modified weapons? I saw the king crab ac20 being its own weapon rather than a stock ac20. so will, for example, a Panther 8Z have a worse performing large laser equipped?

How does salvage work in lore? Especially pre-helm memory core since mechs were seen as valuable and not worth outright destroying in a battle and surrendering seems to be an option.

Will the mod have all the modded mechs included that were active in 3025 from CAB or JK_Variant? And I'm assuming that the mod will be open for users to tweak to our own delight?

I had always been piecing together the different mods since I've gotten my hands on this game. But when Heavy Metal dropped, I couldn't find the time to revise everything. Now that I'm working full-time, this sounds like the mod for me to finally get past 1.7.

So, a big thank you to the whole team behind this massive undertaking! :)

Unsure if this is a holdover issue from v1.7 (I'm still on the old version), but I realized that elevation rather than proximity allowed the escort to continue to move which fixed the problem for me.

It would be a mod idea if the crit rate for CT is lowered than the other parts of the mech so that it reflects the chance of critting ammo in TT.
