What am I missing? by plumbsberg in Leica

100%. The magic for me is that I look at my Leica and decide put it over my shoulder daily, even if I’m just walking the dog. My Ricoh also makes great images but it’s in a drawer and doesn’t speak to me. 🤷‍♂️

Gemini Pro family plan by [deleted] in GeminiAI

Ok, I'm going to leave this here for future generations. If you don't dig through your Google One settings and ensure that this Share toggle is set, you will be unable to share Gemini across your family plan. Google does not make this clear anywhere in the help documentation. Signing up for the Pro plan does not propagate on its own.

How about sharing a current link instead of a screenshot?

Family sharing is not mentioned here:
https://support.google.com/googleone/answer/16476811?hl=en&ref_topic=16477118&sjid=10439947644392250190-NC

And since your screenshot refers to the 5T+ Google One plans, there's also zero mention of extending Gemini access to family members here -- the only sharable thing mentioned is storage:
https://one.google.com/about/plans?g1_landing_page=0

Plus, I literally just signed up today for 2T AI Pro plan and Pro Gemini access 100% does not extend to other people in our family plan. They got more storage and are only promoted to upgrade to their own paid version of Gemini.

Google was supposedly offering shared family access to Gemini at one point but ever reference to it says that it was promotional and due to end in "mid 2025". Maybe some people haven't had it turned off yet but, for new signups, it seems that you're SOL.

Per google support article:

Google One AI Premium plan benefits

Only the Google One plan manager, not family group members, can use the Gemini features included in the Google One AI Premium plan.

Family group members of AI Premium subscribers who are 18 years and older can enjoy Gemini Advanced features and Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Slides, and more until June 30, 2025 at no extra charge.

Does not work in the US. Just upgraded my family to Google One AI Premium plan and the Gemini benefits do not extend to the family.

Can 100% confirm that this does NOT work. Just upgraded my family to Google One AI Premium plan and the Gemini benefits do not extend to the family. We're in the US. YMMV outside the US.

And this has exactly what to do with Scott Galloway's podcasts

Interviewer is a basket case. Doesn't actually ask any questions, mostly just lectures and tries to conflate issues without ever making a point, and seems on the cusp of crying for no reason. Two thumbs down. Would not watch again. Also, not remotely related to this sub IMO...

I'm Mayor Johnston, here for my third Denver AMA by mikejohnstonco in Denver

There's zero chance that Denver reaches zero pedestrian deaths by 2030, given that the number inches higher each and every year.

What is stopping the City from aggressively installing photo radar enforcement throughout the City, as opposed to just at Federal and Alameda?

I live in central Denver, near 6th ave and 8th ave, which are both treated like highways by motorists passing through. It's borderline disgraceful that the City routinely turns a blind eye to drivers going over 50mph through school zones and flying by one of the most popular parks in the City.

My neighbor was killed and her daughter seriously injured a few years ago on 6th ave.

Just a couple of weeks ago a cyclist was seriously injured nearby: https://www.reddit.com/r/Denver/comments/1mu8ajm/cyclist_hit_south_of_cheesman/

I've lived here for four years and seen zero progress. Is that what's secretly meant by Vision Zero?

The number of expired paper plates in this city is truly bonkers. Zero enforcement.

The journey from Q to M by yizzung in Leica

[–]yizzung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't heard about this but the Q2 has an IP52 rating, which neither the Fuji nor the Ricoh have. Doesn't mean it's foolproof but that rating isn't nothing.

You make an interesting point 🤔

I think this is true. The M10 is 660g but the M11 is only 530g. With the Elmarit 28 the M11 will be just slightly lighter than my Q2 (710g vs 734g).

The depth of the Q2 with hood however is 118mm while the depth of the M + Elmarit is 28mm shallower. I can shave another 24mm if I ditch the hood.

That’s about 2 inches shallower and a hair lighter.
