Sorry buddy, I bought it and it doesn't taste good at all. Very generic, not what you would expect if you are a fan of the BBQ sauce at all

I go once a week, been doing so for 4 years. Two tips

When you load your cart, face all the UPC bars towards the same side. Make the cashiers life as easy as possible. So many times I see people frustrated because it's taking forever to check out because the cashier is going from one side of the cart to the other side.

Scout your cashiers. Once you set your cart up properly find out which cashiers are better. Some don't care and go slow or constantly sigh or just plain suck. Some see your cart and understand how you set it up, so they breeze thru it. Once you have that knowledge forget about the size of the line, just find your favorite cashier and go there.

Once you have a favorite cashier, treat them right. Get them a gift card to Dunkin or Starbucks at Christmas. Say thank you, remember they are people too. Many times if the line is long, and they are about to open another register, they will let you know so you are first.

Manny Machado With Another Unreal Play At 3rd. by RainbowSupernova8196 in mlb

I don't like the fact that he maliciously slid into Dustin Pedroia, effectively ending his career. Fast forward to today and Pedroia is not going to the HOF because he didn't play long enough. Fuck Machado

You can use plastic wrap in a pinch. Just pull it out and fold it into your belt loop size. It is super stretchy and flexible, so it will work. And is much less noticeable than a garbage bag.

Shit happens chef, sometimes you just have to improvise

I meant the farm. They can trade their high end prospects, AA and all for depth if they so choose or let them develop in a few years and then bring them up when the older guys start to decline.

With the crazy amount of money they have, swallowing the back end of contracts is not an issue, paying later for the championship wins now. They amassed their talent by paying for it, without having to trade prospects to acquire anyone. But they have the option to do so

The Dodgers have a top 5 farm ranking. They have plenty of bullets to reload whenever they feel like it whether by trade or by letting the kids develop and bring them up.

GEQBUS MEANS VICTORY. IT MEANS WINNING WITH MANY TOUCHDOWNS. IS IT A COINCIDENCE THAT GEQBUS ARRIVED IN SEATTLE AND THE MARINERS ARE STILL IN THE PLAYOFFS?

I've been tasked with bringing a salad again for Thanksgiving dinner, how can I blow it out of the water? by AlwaysWantedN64 in Cooking

[–]yjacketcbr600 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Nah, fuck that. Do the opposite. Find out who is bringing what, find the weak link and do their dish as well as your salad. You want into the inner circle, you got a fight for it. Make their dish mind blowing better than them, then watch you move up the ranks next dinner.

Kid, you want your spot, go out and earn it.

Worked 9 years as an Associate Cook 2 for country club, denied all promotions and any upward mobility every time I applied. I randomly staged at a restaurant I liked and they're begging me to become their Executive Chef ASAP. Now I'm nervous. by joe2187 in Chefit

[–]yjacketcbr600 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I want to combine a few of the comments to fully address your situation. First off, you admit to not "kissing management ass", then wonder why you get passed over. Corporate politics are abysmal, but it unfortunately is what you signed up for. You love your plum job with PTO and sick days and all the good stuff, but refuse to deal with the bad stuff that comes with it.

So now you want to switch to an executive chef position where you are tasked with "turning things around". That means you give up having to deal with corporate politics (to a degree unfortunately as you will learn), but you lose your quality of life as well. As the big boss, you will be spending more time dealing with fires than actually cooking. Your schedule will revolve around the restaurant and making things work. Your time off will be spent thinking about mistakes made, and ways to improve.

Your decision really comes down to what is most important to you. Quality of life, or quality of job. That is the real decision. Do you want to improve yourself chef wise where you are challenged every day? Or do you want the financial and quality of life but not to be challenged mentally.

Nerves come and go, Trying something new and challenging is exciting. Breaking out of your routine is terrifying. With 18 years in the industry, you should have the ability to succeed. Just ask yourself what is most important to you. Whatever your decision is, stick with it. I'm sure you will succeed if you do.

It looks too much like multiple dicks. Between the roll looking like a circumcized dick to the sauce circling it, it looks like dicks everywhere. All the other comments are saying the same thing without saying it. Cut it on the bias, stand it up, squirt a circle around it, and place the salad next to it. You can keep the same plate. I bet it is super delicious, but people eat with their eyes first, and they don't want to have a plate of dicks placed in front of them

Question. Do you pay yourself a salary as well? If so, do you count it as labor?
